Chapter 23

“Hello boss,” Blade spoke with Jack over the phone. “I just hung up with the lawyer, and he said we lost the case.” Blade would have waited to let him know when he got back, but since Jack almost blew up his phone with calls at intervals to know the outcome of the case, he decided to inform him. Besides, it was just two hours from the usual time he gets back home.

Before Blade could say anything else, Jack snarled, “I feel disappointed. Come take me out of here. I am done for today,” and she ended the call.

Blade arrived at the building a few moments later and pulled up with the Royce Rolls at the enterprise garage. He entered Jack's office, who was looking furious, and helped him with his briefcase.

There were none of those pleasantries, as Blade noticed Jack wasn't desiring them.
