Chapter 81

“Attention passengers,” the captain announced, "this is your captain speaking. We are currently beginning our descent into New York City. We expect to touch down in approximately 10 minutes. Please turn off all portable electronic devices and stow them away at this time. In preparation for landing, please ensure your seat belt is fastened snugly, and your tray table is returned to its upright position. If you have any loose belongings, please stow them under your seat or in the overhead compartment. We will have the cabin lights dimmed shortly after landing. The weather is relatively sunny, with a temperature in the 60s°F (around 15 °C).

“Lastly, the flight attendants will be coming around shortly to collect any remaining trash. Thank you for choosing British Airways, and we hope you enjoyed your flight,” the captain concluded.

Not long after, the plane landed, and the air hostesses made way for the few passengers in business class to exit first before those in economy class.
