“I am not joking, my dear friend. Like I was saying, he is my daughter's ex-husband. He used to be one helpless man that lived in the house I gave my daughter as a gift on their wedding day.” Mr. Andrew was taken aback a bit.

“Anyway, I never approved of the marriage between the two of them, but for the love I had for my daughter, I just overlooked it all. But the fact there were many young men who would have made my daughter’s dream life come true made me dislike this very man as time went on,” Mr. Andrew continued, feeling bittered all the way.

“To me, I think he was a good-for-nothing fellow who couldn't take care of his wife. He never had a birthday party for my daughter during the duration of their marriage.”

To Mr. Andrew, these were criteria for knowing a well-to-do man.

He said all these, forgetting the good part where Jack would help him with some of the company's external auditing and wouldn't collect a dime from him, nor some business ideas Jack has assisted him with.
