The Guardian Spirit

Chapter 4

"By the way. What's your father's name?" Edward asks.

"His name is Howard Adams." Thomas replies.

"What? Really?" Edward is surprised.

"Yes, so what?"

"I don't think you are that person's son."

Edward looks at the back of the Garuda emblem. It is true. On the back, there is a carving of the name Howard Adams. That is the identity of the emblem owner

"Do you know my daddy?" Thomas is happy that Edward knows his father.

"I don't know personally. But, all fighters must know a Jawara nicknamed Storm Bringer. He is Howard from Garuda Clan." Edward says.

"Is my daddy famous? It seems Master admires him."

"It seems you don't know your father because Mr Barnard doesn't know either. I'll tell you a little about him. How his actions as the most feared fighter."

Thomas becomes more enthusiastic. He moves to sit beside Edward. "Please tell me, Master."

"You're so enthusiastic. Haha. listen carefully." Edward smiles.

"Your father was a Jawara title. He was the strongest Jawara. The nickname of the storm bringer was pinned because of his ability to manipulate the weather. Whenever he appeared will be accompanied by a storm. Your father was different from other garuda guardian spirit users. Your father has dark blue garuda wings."

"Indeed, what colour were the wings of the other Garuda guardian spirits?" Thomas asks.

"Basically, the wings of the garuda guardian spirit are dark red. The basic power is fire."

"Amazing! I just found out my dad is that strong. Can I be as strong as my dad?" Thomas is enthusiastic. he becomes more excited.

"You so can it. Your potential is great. You have to hone hard with study and practice."

"Yes, Master. please teach me." Thomas is enthusiastic. He is motivated after hearing about his father's greatness.

Edward is happy to see enthusiastic Thomas. "There is one condition if you want to be my student."

"What is it? I'll do it, Master."

"The training that I will give is very difficult. You can't complain and despair. Can you do it?" Edward tells how to train.

"Yes. I can do it." Thomas replies wholeheartedly.

Edward is very happy to hear the enthusiasm shown by Thomas. His youthful spirit came out.

On the way, Edward explains everything about guardian spirits. Type, form, ability, and character.

The guardian spirit possessed by humans has the form of a living being: animals, plants, ghosts, humans, or animal-human hybrids. Garuda is a guardian spirit form that includes animal-human hybrids. Among the five forms of the guardian spirit. The guardian spirits in human form are the rarest. If there is, then only one type of body is the form of the guardian spirit. The guardian spirit's form also represents the user's characteristics.

Edward and Thomas traveled for half a day. The trip from the village begins at midnight. They arrive at their destination at night. That place is The White Tiger Academy.

"We have arrived. This is The White Tiger Academy. You will study and practice here." Edward gets down from andong. He takes the horse to put it in the stable.

"Just let me clean things up, Master." Thomas offers himself.

"You take belongings into that room where the light still shines. Tonight you sleep in my room first. After passing the test, you will move to a room with your new friends tomorrow."

Thomas immediately to does Edward's instructions. After everything is done, he takes a break to take the academy entrance test.

Next Day

Ten students of the White Tiger Academy gather in front of the hall. In front of them stands a burly man. His body is bigger than Edward's. He is one of the teachers at The White Tiger Academy. His name is Dixon.

"Good morning. Hopefully, today your physique is in its prime." Dixon's big voice like it could intimidate anyone.

"Today, we have a new student. Master Edward brought him from the village. They arrived last night. He's right behind you." Dixon introduces Thomas to the students of the White Tiger Academy.

They turn around. Thomas has stood behind them with Edward.

Thomas greets his new friends respectfully. "Nice to meet you. My name is Thomas Adams."

"Nice to meet you, too. My name is Sena Griffith. You can call me Sena! I'm the leader of the students." The leader introduces himself.

"I am Tristan Simpson. Call me Tristan!" The second student has a sharp and cold stare. He seems to be scanning Thomas.              

"I'm Felix. Felix Amstrong. You will be my best friend. Haha." The third student greets Thomas cheerfully. He's friendly. The body is the largest of the others.

"Don't believe him. Felix will bully you. I'm Gary. My full name is Gary lee," The fourth student introduces himself. He greets Thomas while waving his hands. He is cheerful.

"I'm Natt Brian. Nice to meet you." The fifth student of his body is almost the same as Felix.

"I'm Javin Loyd. My nickname is Javin. Nice to meet you." The sixth student has characteristics almost the same as Tristan. But his stare is more friendly.

"I'm Vivian Steward. Call me Vivian!" A beautiful girl with long hair in a ponytail introduces herself.

"Hi, I'm the beautiful Laura. My full name is beautiful like me too, Laura Foster." The second woman is slightly smaller in stature than the others. She is the most cheerful.

"I'm Raihana Scott. Call me Raihana!" The third woman looks the sexiest. She wears a shirt and tight pants.

"I'm Sara Yardley." The last girl introduces herself shyly. She looks elegant in a loose shirt, long skirt, and long flowing hair.

"Are you called Yard or ley?" Thomas Asks.

"Hah? N-no, no!" Sara looks nervous.

"Haha. You only spelled her last name. You have humor too, boy. Sara, do you love this boy? Hahaha." Felix laughs.

Laura hits Felix's head. "You don't bully Sara! I've warned you many times, huh!"

Sara answers, still shy. Her face flushed. "Call me Sara."

"Enough introduction." Dixon takes up the conversation again.

"Before joining them, you have to pass the test. The test is fighting them." Dixon tells the test that Thomas must complete.

"You have to win seven fights. This battle only uses physical without a guardian spirit. In seven fights, you can't fall at all. If you are knocked down by your opponent once, you lose and do not pass. Your opponent will also lose if you drop them. Then move on to the next challenger. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Master!" Args replies emphatically.

"Good. Prepare yourself! You guys must prepare too! Don't let yourself fight badly. If that happens, you will be punished." Dixon says strictly. He doesn't tolerate it.

"Yes, Master." The ten Students of White Tiger Academy answer in unison.

"Please don't hesitate to attack me with all your might, seniors." Thomas Says.

"That's right. We will be happy to hit you." Sena Responds. He sneers.

"Don't get batter or cry. Haha." Felix teases.

"Don't lose. They are evil." Laura exacerbates Felix's bullying.

But Thomas isn't affected at all.

Thomas must pass a hard test. The student he will be fighting was already trained in fighting. This test only gives Thomas a small chance to pass.
