Shambala laughed when he heard the question Grover asked him and said, “I knew you’d be curious about that. You just couldn’t wait to ask Krystal, could you?”

Grover joined in the laughter with a nervous, short laugh. He sincerely did not find the situation funny in the least, but he schooled his features to reflect a calm he did not feel. He felt like his life and soul were on the balance, and he needed to feel some measure of control. What good was a warrior who could not tame and dominate his artifact?

When Shambala noticed that Grover was a bit more invested in this question than he let on, he let his laughter die off slowly and took on a serious look.
