////Third Person POV ////
Vincent awoke to a searing pain coursing through his body. Everywhere was dark, and he couldn’t tell where he was. Panic set in as he realized he couldn’t open his eyes. “Have I been kidnapped?” he thought, his anxiety rising. “Am I blindfolded?”Desperate for answers, Vincent called out, “Hello! Is anyone there?”Only silence met his cries, until a voice spoke up, sounding almost lazy. “Calm down,” it said.Confused, Vincent asked, “Who are you? What do you want with me?”“To open your eyes, just will them open,” the voice said.Vincent didn’t understand. “What do you mean?”The voice didn’t answer, and Vincent was left to his thoughts. “No reply, huh? Will them open, right?” he muttered to himself, before concentrating on opening his eyes.With a sudden burst of effort, Vincent managed to force his eyes open. But to his surprise, he found himself in total darkness, with no sky or land to be seen, just an endless expanse of nothingness.“Soul 4687RQ, step forward,” the man said, and the ball in front of Vincent floated towards him.Meet Azrael, the angel of death with a lazy demeanor. His appearance may be deceiving, as his lethargic look often masks his true power and authority. Despite his responsibilities to collect souls and guide them to the afterlife, Azrael approaches his duties with a casual attitude that often annoys his fellow angels.With a physique that appears almost unassuming, Azrael stands at an average height with a slender build. His pale skin and light-colored hair give him an ethereal quality, which is offset by his disheveled appearance. He wears a simple, flowing robe that’s often wrinkled and untidy.Azrael’s most noticeable feature is his eyes. They are a deep, rich shade of purple, which gives him a hypnotic gaze that can be unsettling. His eyes are framed by dark circles, which add to his overall lazy appearance.“You can either reincarnate or go to heaven. Which do you choose?” Azrael asked.Vincent soon realized that his soul was being judged. He watched as other balls went to heaven or were reincarnated, while others went to hell or a fate worse than hell.As the scene played out, Vincent’s last memories flickered before him. “Ah...I see,” he chuckled. “The bus must have hit me quite hard. So, suicide means I’ll be going to hell, right?” he reasoned.He resigned himself to his fate of eternal flames but wanted to ask about his mother. Finally, it was Vincent’s turn.“Soul 77777EZ...77777, that’s rare,” Azrael said, mildly surprised.Vincent felt like he was heading to hell and he didn’t see the need to ask any questions.“Anyway, kid, let’s move on. Vincent Gate, right?” Azrael asked, and Vincent nodded.A folder materialized in front of Vincent, and his life story was read out.Vincent’s father died in service leaving only his mother to raise him. On his 20th birthday, while in a university, an unfortunate event befell him.Drunk men barged into his house, assaulted and violated his mother leaving her in a comatose state. She would later succumb to death and Vincent after tracking down the rapists never got justice, he wanted and later committed suicide at the age of 22.“Onto your karma now.” Azrael continued. I see positive karma for not giving up on your mom, but there are a few negatives, with your suicide being the largest. You have enough to go to he--”“What is this?” Azrael abruptly said, an interested glimmer shining in his dull eyes reading Vincent’s file.“It seems you can’t go to heaven yet. You haven’t completed your destiny. You have to reincarnate and fulfill your destiny, “Azrael said.“Why?” Vincent asked,“It doesn’t happen often, but your destiny must have been something important. As a human and one of his descendants, there’s a slight chance to get one of his abilities as your innate trait.”“Don’t worry; they’re all powerful in their right, except for some. Anyways, you are also allowed to ask me three questions, a starter reincarnation package, if you will,” Azrael finished.“Who is he talking about?’′ Vincent thought to himself.‘‘Thank you, Mister Angel.’’ He had to be polite before a man that held my fate.‘‘My first question, Did my mum make it?‘’ Vincent asked.‘‘Your mother…’’ Azrael trailed off as another folder appeared and he looked through it, ‘‘Let’s see, Natalie Gate. She’s doing fine. She’s now part of the selection for a new dominion.’’‘Ahh, I see. Thank God she’s fine,’’ Vincent said in relief.‘‘My second question, whose descendant, am I?’’‘‘You are a direct descendant of Adam. This is one of the ways God paid back Adam for cursing him and his offspring when he was sent out of the Garden of Eden.’’“Oh wow...”‘‘But aren’t all humans descendants of Adam, so do they all also get the same privileges.‘’ Vincent thought to himself but did not ask“Then my last question, which world am I reincarnating into?’′‘‘You are reincarnating into another sector of the universe holding the 7 Realms.’’‘‘The 7 Realms?‘’ Vincent asked.‘‘The 7 Realms are 7 worlds revolving around each other in a protected sector of the universe. The only way to get to another realm is through teleportation, either set up by the angels or Yggdrasil.’’’’The 7 Realms include Earth-bound, the first realm. This realm is mainly for humans; ″″Migás, the second realm. This realm is home to demi-humans except for Dragonoid at least not anymore;″″Eulogeo, the Third Realm. This realm is for magical creatures born from the blessed realm, and it is richest in pure energy, hence the name Eulogeo;″″Then the fourth realm, Draco. This realm is for Dragons and Dragonoids, even though Dragonoids have tainted bloodlines the dragons still take them in. ″“There’s just a slight discrimination.” He added,”’’Next, the fifth realm, the Realm of Principalities. The inhabitants of Earth-bound call them Deus. The realm is for principalities or those who have authority over concepts. They are for the most part immortal as long as the concepts exist. However, they are unable to fully interfere with the other realms.”“The sixth realm is The Underworld. This realm deals with lost souls.”“And lastly the seventh, Yggdrasil. Which serves as a gateway to heaven and a transporter to other realms.”‘‘Oh, and even though some realms are higher than others, like Deus and Earth-bound, there is no war on other realms due to certain restrictions. Well except the outer realms, those are the ones you should watch out for.’’‘‘Now it’s time to reincarnate…’’‘‘Goodbye, kid,’’ Azrael said‘‘[Ascend in peace, I pray your next life isn’t as hard as the past one],’’ Azrael prayed.Vincent wondered why after he said that, Azrael’s face was filled with shock and something else, but he couldn’t figure it out.Everything fell into darkness as he felt its embrace. When Vincent slept, he burst into whiteness like the balls before him.After Vincent was sent into reincarnation, Azrael behind the desk was shocked at what Vincent said to him.‘He understood my words!’ he said to himself in surprise.‘But that’s impossible; no mortal or even Deus should be able to understand me unless they have it… but that’s impossible for a human to have [The Word].’‘I should check the ability he got from the first.’Another folder appeared on the desk and the man quickly scanned through it.“Ah, let’s see...” he muttered to himself.“It seems like he has been granted that power, but... sigh,” he added, his expression turning somber.“His life won’t be easy, especially in a place where strength is everything, even if there’s no war. I hope he will be able to handle it,” he thought to himself.With a sense of duty, he turned his attention to Vincent’s destiny and began flipping through the pages of the book in front of him.As he reached the page that described Vincent’s fate, he felt a chill run down his spine. He could hardly believe what he was seeing.“Creator,” he read out loud with a shocked expression.The man suddenly stood up and shouted out to no one in particular. “Seraphs! This is Azrael speaking. I have found the successor!” he declared with a mix of awe and excitement.Azrael’s declaration echoed through the halls of heaven, causing a stir among the seraphs. The news of a new successor to the Creator had been long-awaited, and Azrael had finally found one.Uriel hovered before Azrael and commanded, "Explain to me Azrael."As the other seraphs gathered around Azrael, he explained the situation to them. “Vincent is his name, and he has been given the power of [The Word],” Azrael said, his voice filled with excitement.The seraphs were amazed, for the power of [The Word] was thought to be held only by the Creator himself. They knew that Vincent was no ordinary soul, and that his destiny was of the utmost importance.“His destiny is written as ‘Creator’,” Azrael continued. “He is the one who will bring balance to the seven realms and usher in a new age of peace.”The seraphs were filled with awe and wonder at the news. Gabriel sobbed silently as her face lit up in joy.Uriel nodded in acknowledgment and turned to the other angels. "Pass the news to all. The successor has been found."As he did so. All the angels roared in joy. Their voices quaked the space itself.Some wandering souls might experience a turbulent trip...///17 Years Later/// It has been 17 years since my reincarnation, but I do not believe that man’s prayer helped me. I was born as the son of a widowed slave and currently work for the Fenrir Family, a family of Wolf Demi-humans who are descendants of Fenrir, or so they claim. “I recently regained my memories about six months ago,” I thought to myself, still sifting through my memories. “I am a fox demi-human, 16 years old according to my birthline, but I appear to be around 18 or so.” My father was earth-bound, while my mother was from the Migás Realm. I am unsure of how they met, but what I do know is that after my father passed away, my mother was captured and sold into slavery. She was later bought by the Fenrir Family, while I was still unborn. “Mother has been in slavery for 16 years. Why must my moms always suffer?” I thought, feeling sad and powerless in my current situation as I clenched
“No, no, no, no, no,” I muttered under my breath as I dashed through the forest, pursuing a scent I had picked up from my quarters. My mother in this world was like my mother in my first life - kind and always bright. At first, I didn’t want to get attached. I had not moved on from my first mom. But 17 years of love was not something I could erase. So although, I couldn’t forget my first mom, I began to let it go not by much but I’m making the effort. “Dammit, stop thinking just run,” I thought angry at myself, my weakness. With that, I channeled ether and propelled it out of my legs. A cheap skill I call [Ether Burst]. It pushed me forward, giving me the extra speed I needed. I hesitated on the quantity of ether I should use to fuel the skill because I know that the higher the ether put, the less control I have. But apart from that, This skill was almost godsent, I could also propel ether from my hands and legs to incre
When I fell to the ground, my mother was knocked out due to the adverse effects of Cellular Enhancement. I attempted to speak, but I was interrupted by a kick to the face from the young noble. His face turned red with anger and veins bulged in his neck. He continued to kick me, but I retaliated by provoking him. I knew it wasn’t wise, but I needed to buy some time. I already knew that the bracelet on my hand had something to do with using my ether to escape. It appeared to be an ether seal bracelet with gravity enhancement, likely worth a fortune. It was clear that the young noble hated me quite a bit. Suddenly, he stopped. “Since you are so cheeky with your words, I should do you a favor and cut off your tongue,” the young noble said with a smirk on his face. But my body refused to move, no matter how much I willed it to. He reached my mother, and I was forced to watch what
Vincent could feel the darkness creeping up his body, slow and relentless, like a thick mudslide that refused to stop. It started at his hands and feet, and then gradually corroded his entire being until he was consumed by it. The young noble watched in horror as Vincent’s eyes lost all emotion, becoming nothing more than hollow, lifeless orbs. But that wasn’t the worst of it. What truly terrified him was the sight of the thousands of dark beasts that stood behind Vincent, their eyes glowing with malevolence as they snarled in anticipation. The young noble couldn’t believe what he was seeing. It was common knowledge that dark beasts were impossible to tame unless one possessed a special skill. So how was Vincent able to command them so effortlessly? Suddenly, Vincent opened his mouth and spoke, his voice low and guttural. The young noble strained to hear his words, but they were in a language he didn’t recognize. It was gibberish, but some
''Huh…. what is this…. Why are there tails behind me'' 'More importantly, why can't I remember anything from yesterday…. I can't think about that right now. ' 'Who is this man, why is he here, is he a Hostile…And why does he look so familiar.' ''Well, My name is Azrael, I am here because I wanted to congratulate you on receiving the Power of 'The Word'." "I am not hostile since if I was I'll be branded as a Heretic, cast out of heaven then probably killed." "Also I look so familiar because I was the last person you saw before reincarnating into this world'' 'What, how did he~' "Read your thoughts, Well it's quite common among angels. Since it's quite easy to read surface thoughts, well not so easy since you now have that bloodline.'' ''…. Ok, so you are the man that reincarnated me and wished me luck in this life'' Vincent asked warily. ''Yeah that was me, I should have known that you were special from the first time you manage to hear me use [The Word], turns out I was right
[Permission granted to continue fusion] Vincent's curiosity was piqued as he inquired, "Skills can fuse?" In response, the system explained, "Indeed, the skills [I Can Impose My Will] and [The Word] possess the capability to fuse." Vincent's eyes widened in disbelief. "What!? How is that even possible? [The Word] is already an overwhelmingly powerful skill, and now you're telling me it can become even stronger?" Retrieving information from the main system, the AI replied, "Upon analysis, it has been discovered that the skill [The Word] bestowed upon the host has always been incomplete until the acquisition of the skill [I Can Impose My Will]. Now that the host possesses this skill, the system can fuse it with [The Word], thereby completing its power." The system issued a cautionary warning, stating, "However, I must inform you that allowing the fusion may expose you to external forces." Intrigued, Vincent inquired, "Externa
“Wow, I’ve become considerably stronger than before,” Vincent remarked with a sense of awe. [You’re still weaker than most, but yes, you have grown stronger] the System responded bluntly. Vincent let out a sigh, feeling slightly deflated. “Leave it to the system to pour cold water on someone’s hopes,” he muttered. [If your hopes weren’t so insignificant, I wouldn’t have to crush them] the System retorted, lacking any sympathy. “Whatever, please explain your functions,” Vincent requested, trying to maintain his composure. [Affirmative] the System complied. [I am the Heaven System Subsidiary, a subordinate system created by the Main System and connected to the all-knowing Akashic in the heavens. I am responsible for...]“Of course, I won’t be able to hear it. Am I really that weak?” Vincent questioned himself, feeling a tinge of self-doubt. [I was created by the will of the creator and the main system to groom you] t
/////1.8 Kilometers Of Exhausting Journey///// "Huff, huff, huff." Weary and mentally drained, Vincent, a Migas, trudged forward, feeling the toll it was taking on his physical body. Normally, as a Migas, he wouldn't have grown tired from such a distance. However, the recent events had left him mentally fatigued. Right now, Vincent was on the brink of passing out, but the prospect of avoiding potential death urged him to press on. After what seemed like an eternity, Vincent caught sight of the promised land, not far off in the distance. The silhouettes of buildings began to take shape, accompanied by a queue. "Huh," he muttered to himself. "Why is there a queue?" Finally, Vincent reached the extended line, leading up to a guard office beside an open gate, surrounded by six soldiers. It appeared that people needed a specific ID to enter the city, and Vincent deduced that those without it would have to purchase and
