AT BRANDON’S MANSION.

Esmeralda was sipping on the hot coffee Marcellus served her when they got to Brandon’s mansion after leaving the company.

“What’s on your mind? You’ve been silent since we arrived?”

She dropped the coffee on the saucer. “I should leave now; if there are any more updates from Brandon, let me know so I won’t be out there like a fool,” she replied lightly.

“Is it about him?” Marcellus asked her.

“About what?” she asked absently. The motorcycle that double-crossed Torillio’s car with the man that seemed so familiar was Madrigal, and it took a toll on Esmeralda when she saw him.

“We both know the rider was Madrigal, and you’re looking for him; should I speak with him?” Marcellus asked.

“No, I can find my way with things; I’ll get to him,” she replied. Marcellus held her hands, smiling at her.

“He’s no longer on our side; Torillio is his new boss; do you think we can still bring him back?”
