Madrigal’s hands frizzled as the sun rose up, faintly setting and shining upon his face as he was standing on the balcony on top of the building.

"Madrigal—why did you act like that? You could just tell her you’re busy or have an update with Brandon." Nathalie snuggled up to him.

"Stop—what happened back there shouldn’t be; this is all facade, and you know it," Madrigal said to her sternly.

"I know, but I like you, and you know it," she said, still holding hands with him. "Forget about the kiss and what is wrong with Brandon; he’s taking this thing too seriously," Nathalie complained, rubbing her back against his broad chest.

"Hailey is our only big enemy that’s left; once she's sealed out, everything gets solved," Madrigal said flawlessly. He checked the time on his golden wristwatch.

"It’s almost 8:00 a.m.; where is Brandon?" Madrigal asked her. He left the dining room immediately after Esmeralda asked him to drive her out.
