Another Shock

Jared was seated at his desk, engrossed in his work when a knock on the door interrupted his concentration. He looked up to see his financial team entering his office, their expressions a mix of concern and urgency.

"Jared, we need to talk," Marcus, the head of the financial department, said with a serious tone.

Jared put down his pen and gave them his full attention. "What's going on?"

Marcus cleared his throat. "We've been reviewing the financial reports, and there's a significant loss in the company's balance sheet."
