Reassurance

Jared settled himself at the edge of the couch, his gaze fixed on Emily's brisk movements as she stormed into their bedroom, suitcase in hand. He had never seen her this furious before, and he had every intention of finding out what had sparked this unexpected tempest.

He followed her, his steps purposeful and confident, as he entered their bedroom. "Emily," he said firmly, his voice carrying the weight of authority.

She didn't even spare him a glance, her focus entirely on packing her things in a frenzied manner. "Don't bother, Jared. I'm leaving," she retorted, her voice dripping with anger.

Jared's brows furrowed, his eyes narrowing with concern. He was not about to let this situation spiral out of control. "Emily, halt," he commanded, his tone steady and unwavering.
