Chapter 102

On a sweltering afternoon, a man dashed down the hospital hallway. His face was sweaty, and he was breathing heavily. Several times, he almost bumped into other patients, even nurses passing by during rush hour. He apologized several times before continuing to run with a very anxious face.

Without stopping his pace, he opened the door of a room in the hospital. A young girl was lying with an oxygen tube in her nose. The man was now staggering and holding his sister's hand. He fell to the floor, kissing the back of the little girl's hand with a frustration that was hard to control.
