Chapter 63

Gerry clenched his fists tightly. He punched the air in annoyance as he cursed Julius repeatedly. His feet kicked at the mud under his shoes, imagining that it was Julius' face that was so arrogant and conceited. So, Gerry stomped harder and more blindly until his breath caught.

Gerry's heart beat much faster, "Damn you, Julius! You're such a pest! You're ruining all my plans!" he shouted in a voice so loud it was hoarse. He didn't care about the few farmers who passed by him on their way home. He was eager to vent his unstoppable rage.

Gerry squeezed his hair hard as he ranted, "I can't stand by and do nothing like this. This can't be happening!" His eyes were filled with hatred and panic. A glimpse of the past came back to haunt him.
