The man's voice was so loud that it attracted much attention. Many pedestrians turned and looked in their direction wildly when the man shouted, "Let go of my daughter! You're abusing him!"

And sure enough, when Julius looked around, the people who had stopped started whispering, "What's going on? Is that man a kidnapper?" They glanced at each other without any intention of approaching. Apparently, these people were still trying to recognize the situation, even though they had assumed that Julius was a kidnapper of children.
