Chapter 134

The sudden shout froze Samuel in his tracks, heart pounding as he turned to see another security guard approaching. This one was leaner than the first one that questioned him earlier, but his expression was equally stern.

"Hey you! Stop there right now!" The security guard barked, his eyes narrowing with suspicion.

Samuel forced a calm smile, though his mind raced to come up with a plausible story.

"Hello, officer." He said, turning to face the guard fully. "Is there a problem?"

The guard stepped closer, eyes flicking to the keycard Samuel still clutched in his hand. "What were you doing in the secure storage room? That area is off-limits to janitorial staff."

This is the second time within a few minutes that Samuel is being told that. It shows the importance of the document he took from the secure storage.

He did not actually know what it would be used for, he just had to do what he was paid for.
