CHAPTER 13

Leonid glanced at the scorpion with a hard look on his face. No matter what they did to him, he was never going to divorce Amelia. She was the second woman who had taken care of him in the whole world when nobody loved him. He could not betray her by letting her go for no reason. Even though he was staring death in the face, he was never going to do it.

Leonid was still quiet because if he dared say a word, the knife was going to go right into his skin. Scorpion retrieved the knife and wiped the part that had touched Leonid.

"You are scared of talking because of the knife."

"No," Leonid said.

"Are you going to sign the papers now in peace, or will my men play with you before you agree?"

"I am not signing the papers," Leonid stated firmly.

Scorpion studied him for a moment before putting the knife under Leonid's jaw and raising his face with it.

"Still brave in the face of death?"

There was no response from Leonid. Scorpion couldn't read the reaction on Leonid's face either.
