CHAPTER 144

Moving swiftly, Rose caught the blade in between her fingers. Twirling, she threw the knife back at the sender. The knife hit Meira at her other shoulder; blood filled her mouth and rolled out of her lips.

Amelia, who had been holding her breath, finally took in the air. Satan and Saint wanted to end Meira there and then, but they didn't want to draw more attention to Amelia.

“Thank you.” Amelia gazed at Rose. “That was a quick catch.”

“It was nothing.” Rose rolled her eyes and held Amelia's hand. She pulled Amelia outside the female section and glanced back at Meira, who was already spitting blood. “I guess she poisoned that knife, and now she can't get the antidote.”

“Why can't she get the antidote?” Amelia inquired, turning her head back to look at Meira.

“That's because I have it with me.” Rose raised a bottle for Amelia to see. “She dug her own grave, even though she was rushed to the hospital. She would never survive.”
