Anger was about to grab a bite when Leonid walked into the dining room. Amelia was behind him, carrying a little sparkling handbag, and Viktor was beside him, pulling the box along.

"Mister Rizzo, when did you arrive?" Satan asked, sulking on the hot pasta he had just placed in his mouth.

"A couple minutes ago." Viktor answered. "I wanted to visit my brother."

"Great, where are you heading with the box?" Reaper questioned.

"Are you traveling?" Saint asked.

"No, we all are." Leonid said.

Anger dropped his fork and folded his arm. "Young master, I am going nowhere."

Leonid glanced at him; his brows rose. "You are going to drive me to the place I am going to."

"No way, I am the one to drive." Viktor said.

Anger's lips curled into a smile. "Whatever."

"Where are we going?" Satan asked. "A beach house? A penthouse? Across the ocean? An island?"

Viktor smiled softly. "No, we are going to visit my mom, and that is better than any beach house."

"What?" Saint asked. "Are we going to see the bo

The look made Leonid confused and worried; he wondered what was going to happen next."You found who?""Dad, I found him. I was almost killed, but he saved me." Leonid lowered his gaze as he continued. "When you called, I was at the hospital. I didn't travel."After what felt like hours, Lilith finally responded to what Leonid said."Are the remaining four guys his sons too?"Leonid shook his head. "No, they are our bodyguards.""Where is your father?" She demanded loudly."He is also your husband." Viktor muttered. She glanced at him. "Stay away from it, carrot kid, or I will ask Nid to punch you like last time.""Ouch." Anger muttered, clutching at his heart."That hurts." Satan mumbled."I never knew until now that Mister Rizzo was called the carrot kid." Saint whispered. Viktor gulped down nothing and went quiet. Leonid wanted to take a bite of his food, but Lil

Leonid frowned at his mother. "You can't divorce dad. I know he hurts us a lot, but you can't divorce him. It is not his fault that this all happened in the first place."Amelia frowned back at him. "I can divorce him, and I have to."Viktor's and Amelia's eyes were practically popping out of their sockets. The rest of the men who were eating paused to stare."Mom, why? You can't do that. He came back for you and Leonid." Amelia said."And he loves you both." Viktor added.Lilith was not hearing any of it. She shook her head. "He left us 20 years ago; we are better off without him.""I want him to be here with us." Leonid said. "Aren't you happy that he came back after all these years?""I am not." Lilith grumbled. "He can't just walk back into our lives like nothing ever happened.""I know…""He put you through stress, made you the target of bullies, and made you skip college.""I own a company now," Leonid said.''From the look of things, you have forgiven him." Lilith said. "You ca

Leonid paced to and fro, waiting for the doctor. The doctors were still attending to his mother; his heart was racing, and he was blaming himself. He shouldn't have visited her today; he was the cause. Everyone else was sitting nervously, waiting for the doctor."Leonid." Shelby called. "Calm down.""How can I?" Leonid yelled. "Why are you so calm?""One of us has to be." Shelby replied. "She will be alright.""Alright?" Leonid snarled. "Did you see how she was bleeding?""I did." Shelby calmly responded.Leonid felt like he was drowning and couldn't breathe. The waiter was turning his brains upside down. He couldn't bear to lose her; she had been there for him when no one was. His mother was his first love and his first support. The one who cheered him up, the one who taught him how to endure the endless struggle and bullies Her smile had made his heart flutter and was absolutely the most beautiful thing he had seen."It's your wife in there, and you are acting calm." Leonid mumbled.

The house was quiet when they got in, and Lilith was furious that they had taken her to Shelby's house instead of hers. Saint and Satan still smiled at her and led the way, even though her tongue was practically cutting through their ears."How could you bring me to this place?" She screamed. "Did he ever visit me at the hospital?""Mom, calm down." Leonid muttered. "You don't have to scream at him; he was only doing his job.""His job?!" Lilith yelled, turning to face him. "He has no right to bring me here."Viktor held Leonid and pulled him along with him. Amelia followed suit, while Lilith kept yelling as she was directed in a different direction."What's going on?" Leonid asked as soon as Viktor pushed open a door and entered."I have to tell you something." Viktor muttered, taking his seat."Okay?" Leonid asked, raising his eyebrows."Dad discovered something." Viktor pointed to a seat.Leonid sat on it, and Amelia sat on the couch that was not close to them. She took out her pho

"Italy?!" Leonid yelled, bewildered. "That's literally flying over the Atlantic Ocean to get to Italy from here. I am not going with you."Viktor gave Leonid a look. "You have to go with us; besides, you are Shelby's son, and you have to help us."Leonid's shook his head stubbornly. "If it deals with flying over the Atlantic Ocean to help Dad, I'm out."Amelia got up and approached them, saying, "Nid, it's not hard flying over an ocean.""Did you forget about my Phobia? Never would I fly over an ocean, not in a thousand years."Leonid began walking away from them. "Tell Dad I will stay here.""What about we go by the private yacht?" Viktor called out "It would take at least 10 to 14 days to get to Italy from Los Angeles, but it's worth it. Since our macho man is literally scared of flying."Leonid turned around and glared at him. "Is it fun laughing at a man's phobia?"Viktor and Amelia shook their heads at the same time."No, it's no fun, but..." Viktor trailed off."Can I come with

Satan ruffled his hair. "She said she wanted to come along, and I wanted to stop her, but she locked me inside this box."Leonid didn't look convinced; there was no way his skinny wife was going to lock a fully-built man in a box without his consent. There was no way he was going to believe that lie. Reaper slapped Satan on the shoulder."Dude, I can't believe you let me carry you all the way here. No wonder the bag was so heavy," Reaper scolded."That's not the point," Viktor said. "We told you to watch the young miss at home, didn't we?"Amelia got up from the ground and stood to her feet. She rubbed her arm."Don't take it out on him; it is all my fault," she said. "I have to take responsibility for what I did; I made him bring me here. I just wanted to go with you; I won't cause any trouble or be a burden. I will stay out of your path."Leonid shook his head and turned to Viktor. "How far are we from shore?"Viktor checked his phone. "Twenty Miles. We can't send her back; we have

"Leonid, wait," Amelia called after him.Leonid wasn't ready to listen to her; he walked into a room and locked the door. Amelia banged on the door."Hey! You can't ignore me. Fine, I'm sorry. I just wanted to go with you."Leonid chuckled as he heard those words. He glanced around the room; his eyes were drawn to the luxurious surroundings. The bed was tucked in a corner of the room, and there was a large glass window through which he could see a pool.He completely forgot about Amelia, who was banging on his door, and he jumped onto the bed, falling asleep, engrossed in its comfort.By the time he woke up, it was already dark. He rubbed his eyes as he got off the bed and headed to the bathroom. Turning on the lights, he splashed water on his face and stared at his reflection in the mirror. Even though he had cut his hair shorter, it was still long. He grinned and turned away from the mirror. After changing into something casual, he opened his door. He suddenly remembered that he had

Cars were lined up waiting for them."Are these all ours?" Amelia asked.Viktor nodded. "We have to get to the base and have some food and a nap before investigating anything."Leonid frowned at him. "We just finished eating, and we are not wasting any more time. When we get to the base, we start."Viktor shook his head. "Okay, it's not a big deal. I just thought you might be overwhelmed by the stress.""I am not. Can we go now?"Viktor led the way to the car; the men standing beside the car opened the door for them to enter. Satan and the rest took one car, while Leonid, Amelia, and Viktor took another. Viktor was driving with Leonid beside him, and Amelia sat in the back."The base is pretty big, located on the Amalfi Coast. When was the last time you've been here?" Viktor inquired."I don't reme

Don't you know what your father looks like?” “Mom, it's really Dad.” Leonard muttered as soon as his eyes landed on Leonid. Leonid was now squatting in front of Iona, who touched his nose with her tiny finger. “Daddy is really handsome in person, Mommy; you have a great taste." “What is your name?” Leonid inquired. “Iona Francesca Giada Vanderbilt.” She replied. “Just call me Iona or Iona Vanderbilt.” “I know, right.” He ruffled her hair. I just wanted to deal with her myself; she tried to hurt my baby, and I couldn't just let her get away.”She got off the bed and approached him. “Are you still mad at me?”He shook his head. “I am mad at you for going there and risking your life, but I am okay with the fact that you didn't go alone.”Amelia peered at him. It seemed that he didn't know that she abandoned Satan to drive the car.“It won't happen again,” Amelia assured him. “I won't risk my life anymore, and I have something to ask too.”“Don't try to chang

They shot her on each of her legs, and she lost balance and fell over.“Who said you could leave?” Rose demanded as she walked over to Meira.Meira began crawling on the floor as she tried to get away. Rose loomed over Meira. Amelia tossed her gun to Satan, who caught it. He didn't want to waste any more time there, so he aimed the gun at Meira's head. The hours of the movie were long gone, and Leonid was cracking his knuckles as they made their way to their car. Amelia held an ice cream in her hand and was grinning from ear to ear.Rose and the S twins also held ice cream in their hands. Rose was eating hers, but those men were only looking at theirs.Handing both their ice creams to Rose, they gestured with their eyes for her to eat them too.“You could have just said that you didn't want it,” Rose told them. They couldn't; of course, Amelia didn't even ask them before she bought theirs, and it was going to be rude for them not to accept it.“Where are we having dinner next?” Amelia inquired as she glanced at Leonid. “You look pale.”He smiled at her; his appearance was already looking better after they left the cinema. The movie was too long but quite enjoyable.“I know a restaurant to take you.’’ He replied. “You also have to be alert; Hannah's father is going to drug us at the restaurant. You aren't going to eat a thing; I will

I had been quiet earlier.”“You are pregnant,” Leonid reminded her. “You can't stress yourself too much, and I can't let her get to you.”Glancing back at Rose, Amelia nodded her head. Rose picked up a laptop that was next to her and began typing on it.“I know about that.” She turned her head to look at Leonid. “I can't just let them classify me as weak, and since they are after my husband too, I just can't let them get away with it.”“But…”“Meira has a one-sided love for Hannah, and they are only using her to get to you and me.”“I can't let you go. After our appointment with the doctor, we will have dinner at a restaurant and pretend to be drugged. Rose and Satan would send you home, and I will know what to do next.”“No,” Amelia shook her head. “What if it doesn't work out?”“Don't you trust me?”“I do, but..."“No one is going to take me

“Dad, who the hell did you bring home?” Jade demanded. “Isn't that a fan of Hannah?”Terry crossed his legs as he took his seat. He looked away to avoid his son's question.“Why did you let her into the house? Why is her arm like that?”“A friend of Amelia Harrington broke her hand and left her poisoned by her own knife.”“And you brought her home?!” He bawled. “For what? She is useless to you if you want to set your daughter up with Leonid.”Terry shook his head. “She isn't.”“Then what? What can she do to help your plan?”“She can get rid of that woman.”“Who?”“She can get rid of Amelia Harrington.” Terry replied. “I just need to get Amelia alone, and it's all settled. She is just a weak woman, and it would be easier to kill her when she is alone.”Jade didn't look surprised at his father's words. “You want to take her husband and still want to kill her?”“Not only that.
