The café owner looked at his special guest so angry that he was furious. Finally, the owner apologized and would be compensated for the suit that was soiled by his employee. He knew very well that arguing with the suit's owner wouldn't win him any favors and the best way was to give in since the man was a prominent person in the city.
"Can't the suit just be cleaned, sir?" said Axel, walking after the owner.
"Do you think he wants the suit just cleaned? If I could, I would have persuaded him earlier. A conglomerate like him wouldn't want that."
"This is an expensive suit and costs almost 12,000 dollars. Can you afford it?"
"What 12,000 dollars? That expensive?"
"You won't be able to pay it for 10 years."
"I'm sorry, sir. I spilled the juice by mistake."
"From this moment on, you are not an employee of this cafe! If things like this keep happening, my cafe will go bankrupt because of you."
"What do you mean, I'm fired?" asked Axel to make sure.
"Yes, you're fired!" said the owner with an angry look.
Like a thunderbolt in broad daylight, instead of getting a loan to find a place to live, he now had to be fired for his negligence. This was a big disaster! Axel couldn't let it go, he had to find a way to avoid being fired.
"Please don't fire me, sir," he pleaded.
"I need this job," Axe whispered and the man even prostrated himself in front of the cafe owner.
"I don't care!"
However, the bespectacled man was so heartless, he kicked Axel's body into the ground and uttered the following words.
"I told you I don't care about that!"
"Get lost! Or I'll call security to drag you out of this cafe!"
It wasn't enough to stop before Axel moved on. The owner threw a few bills in front of him. "Consider this your salary for the week."
Axel was devastated, but what could he do but just shut up and take it all? After all, he was used to being insulted. Despite being insulted Axel remained patient.
Feeling that there was no longer any hope here, Axel left the cafe. He couldn't possibly beg for mercy that would only end in vain. It was better to find another way, or he should look for a new job again. Anything to find a place to live and to pay for his daily expenses.
Before leaving, he still picked up the few pieces of money that the cafe owner had thrown at him. After all, it was enough for her to eat for a few days since she didn't have a dime in her wallet.
"Oh my, Xel. It turns out you're this low," said her coworker who had always disliked her.
The suffering Axel experienced wasn't enough. Honestly being treated like this, especially under the current circumstances made Axel even more furious. He had to clench his fists to hold back his frustration.
Then seeing Axel tense his veins made his coworker named Berry even more challenging, "What? You want to hit me, huh? Let's hit!"
"Or I'll beat you up first."
I don't know what Axel did wrong and what sin he committed that made Berry hate him so much, even though Axel had no problem with the man. He didn't expect the man to act that way towards him.
Berry wasn't just talking, he was ready to kick Axel's ass. Fortunately, a long-haired girl named Katrina appeared and shouted at him.
"Stop it!"
Katrina was another café employee, the only one who had been nice to Axel since Axel first started working there.
"What the hell are you doing? A friend is in trouble and instead of helping, you're insulting him like this."
Afterward, he turned to Axel. "Don't mind him, let's get out."
"You be patient, Xel. I hope your problem is solved quickly and I pray that you can find a new workplace that pays more than here," said Katrina encouraging her coworker.
"Finding another job might be a bit difficult, Na. Considering I just got out of jail."
"I know! But it can't hurt to try, Xel."
Axel nodded as he said, "Thank you." Then he hurried away.
The blue-eyed man continued on his way, but when he was about to enter a small alley. Axel was suddenly intercepted by Berry.
"What do you want?" asked Axel, a little surprised by Berry's sudden presence.
"Our business isn't done yet, Xel! I'd hate to see Katrina stick up for you," he said through gritted teeth.
Berry slammed her fist into Axel's handsome face, the bruises that remained turning blue again because of Berry's actions until the corners of her lips oozed fresh blood.
"You don't deserve to defend the girl if she said harsh words to me."
"It's all because of you."
Axel, who was unprepared for Berry's punch, staggered backward when Berry punched him in the stomach, sending him tumbling to the alley floor.
"I warned you to stay away from Katrina. That girl is mine."
Axel, who had been holding back his anger, could no longer contain his emotions so he hit Berry back. He did not accept the treatment of his coworker until Axel unconsciously beat him to a pulp.
Axel, who was still emotional, did not realize that Berry had fallen unconscious because of his actions until Katrina's presence.
"What have you done, Xel?" asked the girl with a disappointed look at Axel's actions.
"He insulted me first."
"You'd better help me take Berry to the hospital now," Katrina said worried about Berry's condition.
Katrina quickly called a taxi and pulled Axel's hand to help her take Berry to the hospital. During the ride, Axel remained silent, despite the thousands of questions Katrina threw at him.
Upon arriving at the hospital, Katrina screamed and the medical staff took care of Berry and brought her to the emergency room. The long-haired girl was visibly agitated; she couldn't imagine that Axel would get angry because of Berry's words.
"What should you do if Berry sues you Xel?" the girl asked concerned.
Seeing that Axel didn't answer her question, the girl approached him while looking closely at Axel's face. The blue bruise and the corner of the lip that left fresh blood made Katrina conclude that Berry had deliberately provoked and attacked Axel first.
"How did it happen, Xel? Answer me!" Katrina raised her tone of voice to get the man to answer her question.
Katrina's hands went as far as holding both of Axel's shoulders to get him to speak. "If he realizes you could be in danger, Xel."
"Not just danger, I'll sue her," continued a man from the other end of the corridor.
Katrina, who had been squatting facing Axel, suddenly stood up at this remark. "Berry..." The nurse pushed her wheelchair and approached the two people."That's not what he wants. I'm ready to go to jail," Axel replied in the end."Good, you finally realized your mistake. But it won't be easy because I'm going to sue you for damages. You'll see!" Berry smiled wryly, her neck now wearing a neck brace due to Axel's actions."Ber, why are you so cruel to Axel? Didn't you also hit his face until it was bruised like this" Katrina tried to remind Berry's actions towards Axel? Katrina knew very well that Axel wouldn't have fought back if Berry hadn't gone too far with him, but considering what the man had said earlier. It didn't demand the possibility that Berry would definitely act considering the severe injuries he had suffered."What should we do, Xel? Berry wouldn't be joking with that remark." Katrina glanced at her coworker, she was starting to get concerned about Axel's co
Axel's steps were halted as a middle-aged woman not only called out but tugged on Axel's hand, "Looks like you dropped something, here." The woman pointed an item towards Axel. Axel turned his head and nodded because what had fallen was a passbook that Mr. Bastian had given him this morning."Thank you, ma'am." Axel grabbed the item as he smiled kindly at the woman, while Katrina who saw it frowned. She remembered that Axel didn't have any money, let alone savings, but Katrina didn't think much of it; whether Axel had savings or not was none of her business. Once at the bus stop, Katrina and Axel walked up some stairs. Katrina's apartment was a little further from the city. When they arrived at the door of her apartment, Katrina thanked Axel for his kind gesture."Where are you going after this, Xel?" she asked, giving him a glancing at him."You don't have to think about me, go inside. It's so cold." Katrina nodded slowly and waved her hand as the handsome man was abo
"Isn't this book..." The female teller was unable to continue her sentence because all she knew was that the book she was holding was a special book that only existed in this country. They left Axel stunned, how could Axel not look like a hobo yet... Aside from the gasp, they all must have been terrified that they had gone too far with Axel. They hurried to apologize, then treated him with the utmost respect."Just come here, sir... Let me take care of everything," said the first teller, as she also asked the customer who had just arrived to relent. Axel was so dumbfounded, rather not expecting something like this to happen. Doesn't that mean the passbook Mr. Bastian gave him is genuine? It felt like he didn't believe it yet, but when asked how much money he would take. Axel only mentioned half of it because for Axel it was more than enough to pay Berry's demands."How is that possible?!" thought Axel in disbelief as he stared at the brown envelope the teller handed him.
"Mr. Alex! Geez, I'm sorry I'm late. You shouldn't have been treated like this," Poppy said in a panic, then added her concern. "You're okay, right?" Earlier, when the bank employees were busy discussing a customer with a special passbook, Poppy had seen the passbook and that's when Poppy found out about Alex's social status. Alex shook his head slightly at the pretty girl's question, then it was more about the stares of Elena and Almero and the other people who seemed surprised at Poppy's treatment of Axel. How could a manager of Morghan Bank respect Axel so much? Even referring to him as Sir, is very confusing. Certainly, Elena and Almero couldn't get enough of it. Then, Elena interrupted. "Miss, I think you've recognized the wrong person. This is my ex-husband whom I just divorced, he's a thief! You shouldn't treat him with such respect." "Yes, that's right," Almero continued in surprise. Hearing Axel being insulted like that made Poppy furious. "How presu
Such a thing happened because Axel had said he would pay her with the bundle of money in his hand, of course, she would beg to drive him for such a large fee. Meanwhile, the woman cursed in annoyance as she moved on, "Ah, damn!!! What an insolent driver." She didn't care, just busy seducing Axel into entering her car. Now it was Axel's turn to give her a sardonic smile. "That's why ladies don't be arrogant people." At the same time, a two-wheeled vehicle stopped right in front of the taxi and also greeted Axel. "Did you order it earlier?" "Yes, wait a minute," Axel replied. The handsome man asked the online motorcycle taxi to wait because he still had something to do with the taxi driver. Namely, he asked for the money he had given earlier, this time Axel was a little pushy because the driver kept trying to hold back his money. In the end, Axel managed to snatch the money. With nothing left, it was clear that the driver couldn't just give up. He was still tr
"I'd like to see Berry, is he inside?" "Mr. Berry, come please." The burly man quickly guided Axel inside. Entering a spacious house with an interior that matched the paint of the house made the eye feel comfortable. No wonder Berry was so haughty because her house was big and grand. Unlike her small and cramped apartment. "I beg your pardon, Axel! I'm ready to pay in installments all the costs of your demands as long as you let Axel go." Berry smiled wryly while taking a very long look at Katrina's face. "Why are you willing to kneel before me for that poor man." Berry hardened his jaw because he couldn't accept that the girl he liked would prefer a poor, hapless man like Axel. "Axel is my savior god and maybe it's time I return the favor for him." "You want to return the favor or you like that hobo." He moved slowly from his seat and was now squatting in front of Katrina, "Don't you know that I liked you a long time ago if you want Axel to be free of charge
Ready or not, Axel finally decided to visit Geraldo's family. He called the number on the business card and informed them of his arrival. Along the way to the address, Axel was nervous and hesitant. He wondered whether the steps he had taken were right or not. His feelings at that time were erratic. He repeatedly considered whether to contact Axel's family or stop until the wind that blew strongly against his body and face barely made him feel any sensation. Despite his inner war, Axel finally let the online driver take him to the front of Godrigo's large, luxurious gate. "Here we are, brother." The online driver's brother had to say that because Axel didn't get off. He had to call out to Axel several times to break the man's reverie. "Ah, yes, sorry!" Axel hurried downstairs and reached into his pants pocket while taking the money he had prepared to pay the fare. This time, the driver was surprised by the money Axel handed over to him. It was fantastic, like
Axel caught a glimpse of what it meant that his assumptions had been wrong all along. At first, he thought Axel was an illegitimate grandson or an unwanted grandson but it turned out that a glimpse of the grandfather's story earlier that he was deliberately separated from his family. At least that was enough to make Axel feel relieved. "They've done this to my grandson and I can't accept it, Bastian." "Anyway, I don't want to know, you must avenge them! If you don't, I will." There was silence for a few seconds, Axel heard that but as a new member of the Geraldo family, he was silent even though in his heart there were so many questions. Who had the heart to separate the grandson of the richest businessman from his family? Isn't it very strange how a wealthy family like the Geraldo's could experience such a thing considering how tightly guarded the house is? "I'll think about retaliation later. Right now your grandson is here and back. We'd better welcome him." Luckil
