Mistaken for a Conglomerate's Grandson

"Can we talk?" continued someone who was none other than the police commissioner at the prison.

The police commissioner knew very well that the man in front of him was the most famous lawyer in the country. Who does not know the lawyer Roberto Domino, only the conglomerate class can afford to hire him. Without further ado, Roberto quickly handed a letter to his interlocutor.

The look in his eyes was so sharp that he stared at his interlocutor, "You'd better let Axel go right now. Before you get fired from your position."

"How presumptuous of you to speak like that! There's no way I'm going to let that man off the hook after all the wrong he's done."

The lawyer hit the table and pointed a finger at the Commissioner.

"Should I report you for taking a bribe from a man named Almero and charge you for torturing this boy like he committed murder when Almero had minor injuries? Remember the rules of this country!"

The words that came out of the famous lawyer's mouth were able to make the commissioner freeze, and the fear in his heart began to emerge until he rushed to order two of his men to release Axel.

Not long after, two burly men came and picked Axel up and took him away. To relieve his curiosity, the chief warden asked. "Who exactly is Axel to you?"

"You'd better not know too much because I'm afraid the chairman will punish you later. This kind of incident should not be repeated, if your superiors find out you will lose your position."

"Chairman..." Faint but audible in his ears.

Lawyer Roberto smiled as he stood closer to his interlocutor, "Don't forget, I have this recording. You know what will happen if it gets out that you ate the bribe money."

The commissioner swallowed his saliva violently and stayed where he was.

"Move him!" A nurse ordered another officer to push Axel's carcass out of the VIP room. Axel who had just woken up from a stupor tried to remember what happened.

The smell of drugs quickly brought his consciousness back. "Where am I?" he asked hoarsely.

His head turned to look around. Although his body felt heavy from the torture of the police officers, Axel could feel his bed moving.

"At the hospital." The nurse replied curtly while turning off the IV in Axel's hand.

"Where will you take me?" Axel was scared. He was afraid that he would be tortured by the police again when he was still recovering.

"Move you to where you belong! This VIP room is too nice for public scum like you."

"What do you mean," he protested, never expecting to be treated like that.

"We don't want this luxurious room to be defiled by a murderer like you," the nurse began to growl in response to Axel's question.

Axel could only surrender because his condition was so weak, he was about to get up and follow the doctor's orders but someone's shout from the door leaf made them gape in shock. "What are you doing? How dare you kick out the young master."

"Who are you?" asked the doctor seemingly surprised by the arrival of a man in an all-black suit approaching them.

"Are you still questioning who I am? Huh?" scolded the man with clear glasses.

Suddenly, the head of the hospital came and apologized to the man in the black suit, "Forgive us Mr. Bastian?" he said bowing his head to Bastian.

"How could you kick out the number one grandson in Washington," he growled irritably while guiding Axel back to the bed.

"Number one grandson? What do you mean?" the nurse asked incredulously remembering the morning news she had watched today.

"Yes, that's impossible! He's a suspect who stabbed the assistant of the owner of the Royal Group," the other nurse said.

As the chief physician of the hospital, the man explained that the owner of this hospital was Axel's grandfather, "You must treat him well," he pleaded hopefully.

"So you're saying that this man is Mr. Geraldo's grandson? The owner of this hospital?" the doctor and two nurses asked simultaneously.

"That's right, you better get out of my sight before you get fired by Mr. Geraldo," said Bastian, scaring the three people.

Axel, who heard Bastian's conversation, asked, "I don't know you, maybe you're mistaken. Who is Geraldo anyway?"

"Don't you know a prominent CEO in this country? Your grandfather is Geraldo."

"My grandfather?! I don't have a grandfather, I live alone in this world." Axel got up from his sleep and continued to dismiss the old man in front of him.

"Are you sure I'm Geraldo's grandson?" Axel frowned unconvinced.

"Sure?" the man replied reassuringly.

He smiled amusedly at what the bespectacled man said, "Maybe you've got the wrong person," Axel muttered, insisting on saying the same thing over and over again.

"You're Axel Marcelio aren't you? You used to live at the Kasih Bunda Orphanage, didn't you?" the old man asked with a serious look.

Axel nodded and didn't expect the old man to know where he had lived. He had heard the man's story that he was his grandfather's assistant and the grandson of the country's largest shareholder who had disappeared during the accident that happened to the Geraldo family.

"You're the grandson we've been looking for," she said, looking at Axel with tears in her eyes. "Mr. Geraldo has been looking for you for decades, but he didn't stop looking for you for 25 years."

"What 25 years? I'm wanted?" snapped Axel, scratching his itchy head and not understanding what was being said, causing the man to frown.

"Yes, he had given up hope and stopped the search but he believed you were still alive until we got information from an orphanage."

Feeling that it was impossible, Axel said that the old man might have been the wrong person because Axel clearly remembered that he had lived in the orphanage since he was a baby so it was impossible to be the grandson of the richest man in the country.

"You don't remember the incident, but..." Not yet continuing his sentence, someone's footsteps were heard. Making Bastian and Axel turn to the source of the sound.

"All of our family has this blue mark," said an old man with a thin, white mustache as he pointed out the birthmark on his left breast.

"Who else is this old man?" his mind commented. Axel felt like a fool being surrounded by strangers.
