Chapter 144

Demian's body stiffened strongly. Suddenly a strange feeling rushed into his mind. Big brother? This wasn't the first time Dylan had called him that, but why did it feel different now? What was wrong? Couldn't it be because he felt sorry for him?

"Big brother, is it okay if I call you this?" said Dylan again asking for permission. His defenses were weakening, and he realized death had arrived. "Ever since I understood that we were brothers, I've been hoping to be allowed to call you brother. Is this too whiny for a man of my stature?"

Dylan's words were full of deep sadness. Unexpectedly, a clear liquid dripped from the corner of his eye, a sign of a hidden wound. With Dylan lying on the ground and his face bruised and bloody, he expressed his sadness accompanied by soft sobs. "I've waited so long for the moment to be able to talk to you as a brother, not as an enemy or someone you consider a stranger. Brother, I'm your younger brother, right?"
