Chapter 7

"Welcome, Mr.Demian."

Two guards respectfully greeted a man in an expensive suit who had just gotten out of a car. It was their boss.

"Where is he?" Demian asked coldly.

"He's inside. He's been making so much noise that he's overwhelmed us."

"Why don't you just give him a lethal injection? Isn't he old?"

Niel listened silently. How unfortunate for the old lady who had to suffer kidnapping for refusing to be evacuated from the location where B&F Corporation wanted to carry out project construction. If she had not been stubborn, the old lady's fate would not have been as bad as it is now. That old lady just didn't know how terrible money and power are. These two things can make people lose their dignity and even their lives.

"Troublesome!" Demian threw away the remaining half of the cigar. He then reached out to the side, asking Niel to hand him the firearm. "I hate anything that hinders my work. Such a trivial matter still requires me to intervene. You're useless!"

"Mr, can't you just let that grandmother live?" asked Niel compassionately. Even so, he still handed over the weapon requested by Mr.Demian.

"Then you'll be the one to die in her place?" said Demian sarcastically. His sharp eyes were immediately fixed on Niel who seemed to want to protect. "Just so you know. I don't mind killing you at all. Want to try?"

"No thanks. I need to stay alive so I can serve you longer." Niel swallowed saliva. Once he said yes, his life would be lost. He knew very well that Mr.Demian never messed with his words.

Demian clucked. He was in a bad mood, plus a report had come in that the old lady who was currently being held captive had opened her voice to the media. The old lady said that the boss of B&F Corporation had acted arbitrarily by threatening and intimidating her. Also mentioned that the company refused to compensate for the land that they claimed was officially theirs. Hearing this, of course, Demian's emotions immediately overflowed. He then ordered the guards to immediately kidnap the grandmother and keep her in a secluded place.

"I don't know why people like to find trouble with me. Don't they ever read the news in the media?"

"She's just an old crone who was instigated by the opposing party, Mr.Demian. Obviously, she won't know who you are," Niel replied as he followed Mr.Demian into the ruined building.

"The opposing party?" One of Demian's eyebrows shot up. "So it wasn't purely the grandmother's own initiative?"

"From what I've heard, it was. And it's also very unlikely that there would be reporters suddenly covering if there wasn't a mastermind directing them."

"Oh, so someone wants to play games with me. Alright, I'll play along. I happen to be in a very bad mood. A little play is likely to cheer me up."

Niel nodded in understanding. He immediately contacted the special security group to arrange a strategy for Mr.Demian to play. After that Niel caught up with his boss who was now standing in front of the old lady whose hands and feet were tied with ropes.

"M-Mr., please let me go. I...I'm just being ordered around. I didn't really want to say anything bad about your company. Please forgive me. Please," she begged while crying. Her old body seemed to tremble between fear and pain.

"Who ordered you?" asked Demian as he pulled the trigger of the gun. He then pointed it at her head. "You better answer soon or I'll put a bullet in your head. You're tired of living, aren't you?"

"No, Mr. Please forgive me. Okay okay, I'll tell the truth. But please keep that gun away from me. I'm scared."

It's not Demian if he can be easily negotiated with. Regardless of the look of fear on her face, he kept the gun pointed at her head. Niel and the guards who witnessed this could only stand by and watch. How could they dare to disturb the anger of a famously cold-blooded and unforgiving Demian Stewart. Dare to offend him, it meant death. Game over.

"Last night two men came to visit my house. They then threatened to kill my grandson if I refused the orders they said. Because I was pressured, I couldn't help but obey and follow their directions. Then the next day journalists came to cover the news. Under their threats, I was forced to tell a lie. I was threatened, Mr. Please believe me!" explained the grandmother fearfully. Her wrinkled face looked deathly pale as the gun came closer to her head. "M-Mr, I've told you the truth. Can you keep this gun away from me? I'm... I'm scared."

Dor

Blood splashed on Demian's face after he shot the old lady in the head. He was silent for a while as he looked at the body that was floundering on the floor. Pity? Don't expect it. That kind of feeling would never be possible for Demian. Whether it was parents or children, if they dared to interfere with his business, they would be finished. There was no mercy.

"Mr, here," Niel said, handing Mr.Demian a handkerchief. The tail of her eyes glanced at the dead body of the grandmother with her head crushed. It was tragic. And this was the end for anyone who dared to provoke their boss. A horrible death.

"This grandmother is lucky to be able to breathe for so long after demonizing B&F Corporation. I count as kind, don't I?" asked Demian with a faint smile. Still not satisfied, he shot her in the head again until it was completely shattered. "I'm trying so hard to maintain the company's good name, she just goes around saying bad things. Even if it was done under someone's intimidation, I still can't accept it."

No one dared to speak up as Demian vented his frustration. Even Niel, who was his assistant, chose to remain silent. It's not a good thing to open your voice now. That was digging his own grave.

"Throw this corpse into the middle of the sea. Make sure none of the fish there starve!" Demian's order was undeniable.

"Yes, sir."

Demian turned around. Before that he wiped the tip of the weapon and kissed it. And that action always managed to make the guards who saw shudder in horror. Demian deliberately showed this with the aim that none of his people dared to resist. As a leader, Demian clearly must have authority. Other people must not see him as weak. Must submit to the orders and rules he makes.

"Let's go. I need to change my dirty clothes!"

"To a hotel or apartment?" asked Niel.

"Company." Demian stepped outside. He didn't care as her corpse was put into a sack and dragged past him. "Useless trash. It was good of the company to offer her a huge compensation, but she chose to die like this. What a fool!"

Niel quickly opened the car door and bowed as Mr.Demian got inside. Afterwards he informed the guards that their boss wanted to return to the company.

"What about Mr.Khiel?"

"Just finish him right away. After that you guys come see me. There's a gift to be sent to their company," Niel instructed. Without having to wait for orders from Mr.Demian, he already knew what to do.

"Alright. Any other orders?"

"Not for now. I'll let you know if Mr.Demian wants anything else."

"Okay. Then you'll have to excuse us."

Niel nodded. He got into the car and drove straight away towards the company along with a few guard cars behind.
