While speaking with Vakra about what I would be doing in Lokan, I mentioned the situation at port Sagral.

He just laughed and said it would take a lot more than a false claim to start a war with Elysium.

Because even if another country attacked, Elysium wouldn't go to war unless they wanted to. They would just destroy the attacking force and be done with it.

I even learned from him that Elysium wasn't interested in using the legendary heart stones to power their machines and technology.

They had incredible power, but were highly unstable. He planned to give the Heart of the Deep back to us once he had finished running tests on it.

Vakra also told me something about their plans.

Elysium wouldn't actually do Lokan the favor of declaring war on them to let them know of a coming attack.

They planned to just show up with a few ships and start attacking.

Lokan was apparently a country infested with criminals and degenerates. Slavery, prostitution, sex trafficking, violence, and the like.

Our campaign against Lokan only took as long as it did to travel.Any time they tried to mount a defense ended up being an entirely pointless endeavor.I could obliterate their walls and defenses with either magic or physical attacks as I saw fit. Other than that, my firearms had also become more powerful. A hail of gunfire and explosions would decimate enemy troops. Utterly eradicating them.By this point, I had also reached level 162. My stats were growing at a much higher rate and had already increased exponentially. One day while resting, I had become curious about my sword's own abilities and asked Vengeance.Vengeance, you still have room to grow, don't you?[My power has not yet reached its peak. Two weeks later, we walked back into the throne room where Alwen sat on the throne with a dead-eyed stare."Oh...hello Lady Isabella... Lord Mizik... Can I be of service to the heroes destined to save our world?" Alwen asked.I simply looked at Isabella and raised an eyebrow."What did you do to him?" I asked."Think of it as a form of torture... My own personal method. Cassandra was the one who dealt with Jarbold," she said.I shuddered to think of what terrible things Isabella did to Alwen. Even more so imagining the horror of being held by Cassandra..."That monster reminded me of my sin. I had no choice. I hope you're proud of me, Mizik!" Cassandra said."Yeah...proud of you is definitely part of it..." I said.I felt myself shiver at the thought of the things he experienced... Also curiousity. If I was ever feeling bored, I would ask her to tell me the full story. Then Vakra approached the throne and simply looked at Alwen."Alwen, I hope you'll be more cooperative with us in the

The next day, we got out of bed and dressed ourselves.Luckily, Cassandra already knew how to behave herself during the intimate moments. Still... "No fair! Isabella got to be lovey-dovey with Mizik... You're so greedy, sister! Keeping all of Mizik's precious love to yourself... I want a reward for helping Mizik..." Cassandra said sadly.I could see tears in her eyes as she spoke."Cassandra, you already know how this works..." I said."But it's not fair! I...I want Mizik to love me too... You're all I want in life! All I desire is to be with you!" Cassandra said as tears began streaming down her face.I just sighed."Isabella, I'll handle this. I think I'm the only one she would want to talk to her about it, anyway..." I said.Isabella didn't switch in, but I had a feeling she understood."Cassandra, I need you to understand something. I am loyal to Isabella. She was there for me in some of the darkest times of my life. Including what you did to me. I forgive you for that and I don'

  • The Hero of Vengeance   Chapter 174: Looking For Trouble

This was a stupid-ass idea.We were currently on an airship with a large detachment of troops...two weeks later... The Enforcers decided to stay behind with Vakra and Rastair was currently still being experimented on.We were alone and Cassandra was still stuck to my arm happily humming to herself. The problem wasn't even Cassandra. It was the fact that we were searching for a needle in a world-sized haystack. We didn't have a single lead or any reports of Corruption-related activities.Warping landscapes, monsters, or anything else...nothing.This was the other problem with magic worlds, as Vakra put it.Worlds that had magic typically relied more on magic to make life easier than technology. Worlds without magic tended to be more advanced in technology. There were exceptions to every rule, of course. But I digress. On the other hand, Corruption thrived in worlds of technology because they were easier to infect. The only downside was that information got around faster and the people

Once we returned, Vakra began working with Isabella to carefully examine the sample we obtained. At the same time, Rastair approached me."Hello, Mizik!" She said cheerfully."Oh, you're still alive... Did you get taller?" I asked sarcastically."WH-WHAT!? DID I GET TALLER AGAIN!? NOOO!!!" Rastair wailed."It was a joke. You didn't really grow," I said."You...really shouldn't make jokes. You always sound deadly serious when you talk! Anyway, how do I look?" Rastair said. She raised her left arm and I saw a similar device implanted in her to the one in Isabella."Vakra said you still have to transfer my soul. That will complete the process and make me immortal!""Fine, lean over for a second," I said."Wh...why?" Rastair said."Because you're so damn tall and I don't want to reach up over your boobs to touch your heart," I said."H-hang on! I'm not that tall! Also...you can touch as much as you like!" Rastair said with a sly smile.Damn perverted giant woman!"Just lean over!!""Ugh..

The female soldiers were highly responsive to my orders. They did everything I told them to without hesitation, exactly the way I told them to do it.It was great. They had also cleaned and organized our room a great deal. Not a speck of dust remained on anything when I arrived. It was nice to have such loyal servants, but...One of them in particular seemed much more zealous. That would be Stella, of course. She had a very similar disposition to Cassandra, except that she revered me like some sort of god as wellRegardless...I also learned all of their names. They were as followed: Stella, Nagisa, Soire, Edel, Mina, Astarte, Nemari, Olivia, Mikoto, and Claire.I would do my absolute best to remember, but I made no promises. The male soldiers arrived as well.I wasn't sure what to expect at first...but Alwen assured me they were an especially zealous lot who believed that the Emerald Demon would save the world. It was about that time that I realized I had been named a demon for the

We spent five years preparing for every possible outcome that could have arisen from the Corruption. In that time, the landscape began warping much more than it had when it arrived. It was interesting to see the process that took place on a magical world from a wider perspective...and also being able to do something, unlike last time...We had managed to check on Zangriol, the frost dragon. We went to speak with him every few months to ensure his safetyAccording to Zangriol, world dragons were exceptionally powerful and made to combat such threats. They were deeply imbued with Animus energy. He assured us that unless he allowed it, he should be able to resist infection. He wasn't Kelvastiol, after all.All we could do was fight back and try to save Delvandal for now.In the five years we spent here, Vakra eventually caved under pressure from me and began preparations to build a ship.So far, the crew would consist of myself as the commander with Isabella and Cassandra holding the sam

The Oracle was quite literally dragged to the Cursebreaker. She had gone completely insane after being killed, tortured, and reset ten thousand times."I have successfully discovered the source of my curse," Vakra said."Is it her?" I said as I looked at the Oracle. She wouldn't move anymore."No. Her power is part of it, but she isn't the one who cursed me. I'm guessing that it was a higher power. But who could be higher than the Oracle? The Creator, of course.""So you were cursed by the architect of all of creation? That makes sense. Why would he want you running wild and defying reality like that?""Ugh...it pains me to admit it, but you are correct, Mizik... My abilities made a mockery of his creation and I was likely cursed as a result. Meaning that I can never erase this curse.""So sad to hear. But that's also a good thing for me. I don't think I would trust you if I couldn't contain you," I said."Right...and you'd be correct to assume such a thing. But I suppose I should get

I was led to a large staging area where numerous gods of the realm had gathered. Isabella followed and I instructed Stella to stay back. The three of us, that being the Albatross twins and myself, were the ones most hurt by the Oracle's actions.Today...she would suffer in front of her people. And they would bear witness to the monster she created out of her own stubbornness and stupidity. We currently stood backstage. We were waiting for the Artificer to give the signal. And that's when I heard him speak."Greetings, people of Excelsis. As you well know already, I am the Artificer. The Guardian of Dominus. Today, you have all gathered here without knowing why...and soon you will find out. Good citizens of the realm, some of you are still haunted by the things you saw before the reset was ended. Most of you have no clear idea as to why Excelsis was violently razed to the ground by the man who calls himself: Destroyer. Well...that is the folly of your former leader. The Oracle is the o

Finally, preparations were complete and the festival began.Currently the three...or four of us? Were walking through the city streets and looking at the different attractions. That is to say, the Albatross twins and Stella.I allowed the others off of the ship so that they could enjoy themselves for a bit. The Artificer assured us that the area was secure. He was sure that the Oracle's Faithful had completely abandoned Excelsis. On every corner, we saw a squad of six drones. Additionally, other groups could be seen flying around above.Still, despite all of this...Isabella remained ever vigilant. Always clinging to my arm and staying right next to me. Despite the Artificer's reassurance, she continued to protect me.Stella followed behind with a content smile on her face. After a short while of looking at the different attractions, I found Iris along with Carlos and Leiso.Carlos looked a bit bored while Leiso seemed out of place.Iris was playing a game at a stall featuring several

A few days later, things were finally beginning to look different in Excelsis.I could see flying metal constructs buzzing around in the air on insect-like wings, surveying the area. At the same time, many of the people of Excelsis were setting up decorations for a festival.Hilariously, they wouldn't know what they were celebrating until the day arrived. And as I sat on a bench nearby, Isabella sat happily next to me, clinging to my arm.Stella stood at my side surveying the area. There would have been other troops under her, but I chose not to bring them. The soldiers were specifically for the defense of the ship itself."Hmm..." "Is something wrong, Master?" Isabella said."You're having way too much fun calling me that, aren't you?" I said."Ehehe...guilty. I like seeing your reaction. But if I'm going to be a slave, I should play the part, yes?"I suppose so..." I said."I, for one, believe it to be perfectly natural to refer to his Majesty as Master," Stella said."Hm...right..

  • Chapter 252: Heart Resonance

As we walked back to the Cursebreaker, I could see Isabella constantly surveying the surrounding area for potential threats. However, many of the gods walking the streets recognized me as the one who razed Excelsis to the ground. The one who brought death and destruction to their realm. The result, was that they were absolutely terrified of me and made no attempts to approach. After all, many of them had actually been killed as a result of my actions. All the while I secretly remained on the lookout for a potential candidate. One goddess from this realm would join us on our ship. They would become mine forever and dedicate their existence to serving me and stopping the Corruption. But unfortunately, none of these would do. They were weak. I decided to ignore them and focus on something else.I had other plans, currently. I would be speaking to Iris and everyone about what she had to show them. They were valuable crew members, so I wanted to see what she had planned.Once we reached t

  • Chapter 251: Big Plans

After a month-long journey back to Excelsis...we finally returned.I couldn't believe how long it took to get back.We didn't have access to the divine transit, and as a result, it took much longer to get there.Of course, that gave me an idea. I wondered if I could potentially have a personal god or goddess to join our crew. Then I stopped and though about it more...Definitely a goddess. While more pleasing to look at, I could bring her even closer to me. And if she's completely under my control, she'll follow every order willingly. Best of all, someone like that is highly unlikely to betray me. I wouldn't have to enact vengeance upon her and remain on good terms...I almost smiled. That would be my next goal...find a goddess to join our crew to have permanent access to the divine transit. And maybe...Make new Enforcers...?It was too amazing. Our combat force would grow significantly from such a thing. We would be even stronger than before!I made a mental note to also have Iris t

Unfortunately, I didn't know enough about computer programming to change her behavior. And Vakra refused even under the threat of death. So...we were stuck with her...A hour passed and Cassandra affectionately held onto my arm while humming."Having fun...?" I asked."Of course! I get to be with my darling Mizik!" Cassandra said happily. Then I looked forward and saw an eye staring at me in mid air a few feet away."Oh...damn it all..." I mumbled. It opened wider and Valthiem stood quietly with her mask on."Valthiem!? What are you doing here!?"
