"Star of the show? You have got to be kidding me. Get over yourself!" I said.

I couldn't help myself. One of the primary sources for my constant suffering was standing right before my eyes.

"AND THEN YOU JUST HAD TO OPEN YOUR STUPID MOUTH!" Difar yelled as he turned to me.

"Careful, Difar, if you yell at me too much, I might kill myself out of sadness. Then you'll reset again," I said.

"You...BASTARD CHILD!!! I HATE YOU, YOU LITTLE SHIT!!! JUST SHUT UP!!!" He screamed in anger.

"Excuse me...? What is going on here?" Isabella asked in confusion.

"Ah. It seems as though Mizik's little wife is now an enemy. How fitting. Are you enjoying your time opposing him instead of pleasuring him?" Difar asked.

Isabella glared at Difar as her face turned red.

"H-HOW DARE YOU!!! I WOULD NEVER DO SUCH A THING TO THAT ROTTEN PERVERT! AND HOW MANY PEOPLE HAS HE BRAINWASHED!?" Isabella screamed.

I slapped my forehead with my hand.

"Ugh...this dense woman!!!" I said.

Difar looked back at me and grinned.

After that, Cassandra quietly followed me as I searched for Difar.I felt as if my heart had truly become cold.Isabella had forgotten me...I couldn't blame her...but I didn't want to have her around anymore. She only caused me pain...I would look forward into the future from now on. I would face my enemies and destroy them all.Currently, my goal was to regain my lost strength and become even stronger.I would need to murder Tyranus, first. Then, once the false wielder had been eliminated, I would go to Ignitus and have Iris make Cassandra and I into Enforcers.Lastly, I needed to visit Delvandal and have Vakra implant me with the Heart of the World. I wanted to avoid getting the Heart of the Sky if at all possible...That one could stay in Jin's tomb and rot, for all I cared.Instead, I would see if the Heart of the Deep could work on Cassandra.I would need Leiso to help kill the guardian. If not, I would still find a way.Or I could have Valthiem eat it, hopefully. As I walked,

After Isabella had returned from her horrifying trip to the border, the first thing she did was get herself cleaned up.She threw away the clothes that she had soiled and silently cried her eyes out on her bed.She had never felt so humiliated in her life...That man who married her sister, Cassandra, had made her look like a fool.He commanded some kind of monster to devour her entire army in an instant. Including her caretaker and bodyguard, Walter Orthright. He had been like a loving uncle to her... Always watching over and protecting her.Walter was gone...and Mizik had uttered some strangely ominous words to her before he ordered the monster to gaze into Isabella's eyes. What she saw when she looked into that things eyes, could only be described as a place that felt like an endless chasm of nothingness.Isabella had never been so terrified in her life. She cursed the name Mizik Iratus as she cried silently to herself. In fact, she hadn't even informed anyone of her return. She wa

As Isabella walked into the place called 'The Sleeping Dragon Inn', she had only one goal in mind.Execute anyone and everyone with any links to the traitorous and evil hero Mizik Iratus.Currently, she wore the full suit of armor granted by her sword, Bravery. She held its shield at her side and wore a helmet that matched her armor to hide her face.A young and cheerful girl with brown hair approached with a smile."Welcome! My name is Aria! Can I get you a table?""Hello, Aria. I won't be needing a table. My name is Rose. There are two things I want, instead. The first, is information on a man named Mizik Iratus," Rose said."Oh! My nephew! He's my sister's son! Although she died a while ago... His father raised him into such a nice boy! Mizik came to visit here before he left to go marry Princess Cassandra. Is he doing well? We all miss him so much!" "He is a criminal who abducted Princess Cassandra and has killed hundreds of Albatross soldiers. He allied himself with an evil bein

Difar said calmly. We were suddenly surrounded by a field of Valthiem's power again.Difar's sword began glowing much more."Perhaps you'll enjoy the power of blast radius? Let's see how much you can take!!!" Difar said.He raised Extinction and brought it down over Rose. The resulting pillar of Corrupted power was enough to create a huge chasm where Rose had been standing. But she hadn't allowed it to hit her.She shot towards Difar and he was impacted by several streams of exploding light. Then I felt it...What once gave me courage and determination beyond anything else...Was now something horrible...I felt utter terror just looking at Rose. Her ability, Almighty Presence had activated."Damn it all... When I looked around, I saw that the room was currently empty."Umm...is she away right now?" I asked."I don't know. Probably? But when she senses us, the goddess of washboards will likely come over like a good doggie," Difar said.Ignoring his comment, I walked over to one of the thrones and examined it.Not for any particular reason, of course. I was trying to pass the time. This was a restricted area and only high level Attendants and Enforcers were allowed this far up.The throne room was also usually only reserved for Enforcers and Enforcer candidates.Meaning that we wouldn't have to worry about the language barrier if we ran into someone.Cassandra, who had not taken her eyes off of me since we arrived, moved closer."Darling, can I have a kiss?" She asked hopefully.I kissed her and she smiled."Please don't start again. At least wait until I'm out of the room. Valthiem already told me what you were doing last night..." Difar said."What!? Was she spying on us!?" I asked."On

We walked into the meeting room from before and Difar had already pulled up a chair to sit in near the wall."Oh, good. You're here. And Dante hasn't executed you which means he trusts you. Cool. Now, I have some questions. Who are you, how do you know me, who is that asshole sitting in the chair, why does he terrify me so much, and what was that abomination hanging out next to him earlier?" Iris said.I cleared my throat."My name is Mizik and this is my wife Cassandra. I know you from a previous timeline, that asshole is Difar and he's an abyssal god. The abomination is Valthiem, the Avatar of the Void. She won't hurt anyone unless ordered to do so," I said."Umm...wow... I didn't actually expect you to be so compliant..." Iris said."I know better than to complicate things with you. If you want more info, I am...or was..." I straightened myself and saluted Iris using the traditional Enforcer stance. • The Hero of Vengeance   Chapter 215: Paradox

Over the many years Vakra had spent on Delvandal, not once had he ever noticed anything like a significant temporal anomaly forcing things to revert several years. Not anything like Mizik had mentioned, anyway. So when Mizik took the Cursebreaker and its crew, he was mildly prepared for the possibility that Mizik could die and cause such an anomaly. However, Vakra also wondered why he had never felt such a thing before. After all, if this story was to be believed, Mizik had been killed at least a few times before. And the False Source of the Corruption that had recently infested their world seemed to confirm Vakra's theories with his way of speech. That the reset anomalies do not affect the whole of creation.Just the worlds affected by Corruption or Mizik's presence. So Vakra found it quite intriguing that shortly after the Cursebreaker left, he felt something.Vakra was highly attuned to the intricacies of time and space. As a literal walking and breathing paradox, he was well awar

Before I could react to Vakra floating before us, he shot forward and placed his hands on both mine and Cassandra's faces. In an instant, I felt my entire body shift and warp.I wanted to scream in pain, but I couldn't.It hurt, but it also felt very pleasant. As it went on, I began to have several very familiar feelings in my body...Then, everything came rushing towards me all at once. I saw my entire life flash before my eyes and finally hit the ground. When I opened my eyes, I immediately stood up and looked around.Vakra's skin melted off and he remained as a skeleton."Dammit... Oh well, at least I got here in time... Gah...that feels weird..." he said."Vakra...?" I said.I noticed that my voice sounded slightly deeper than normal and I looked at my hands.I saw the scars Cassandra had given me so long ago. And then I felt my power... The incredible beating heart of the world as well as my Ultra Aspects. Then Cassandra also stood up.She looked older as well. Around twenty-two,

The Oracle was quite literally dragged to the Cursebreaker. She had gone completely insane after being killed, tortured, and reset ten thousand times."I have successfully discovered the source of my curse," Vakra said."Is it her?" I said as I looked at the Oracle. She wouldn't move anymore."No. Her power is part of it, but she isn't the one who cursed me. I'm guessing that it was a higher power. But who could be higher than the Oracle? The Creator, of course.""So you were cursed by the architect of all of creation? That makes sense. Why would he want you running wild and defying reality like that?""Ugh...it pains me to admit it, but you are correct, Mizik... My abilities made a mockery of his creation and I was likely cursed as a result. Meaning that I can never erase this curse.""So sad to hear. But that's also a good thing for me. I don't think I would trust you if I couldn't contain you," I said."Right...and you'd be correct to assume such a thing. But I suppose I should get

  • Chapter 255: Spectacle Of Revenge

I was led to a large staging area where numerous gods of the realm had gathered. Isabella followed and I instructed Stella to stay back. The three of us, that being the Albatross twins and myself, were the ones most hurt by the Oracle's actions.Today...she would suffer in front of her people. And they would bear witness to the monster she created out of her own stubbornness and stupidity. We currently stood backstage. We were waiting for the Artificer to give the signal. And that's when I heard him speak."Greetings, people of Excelsis. As you well know already, I am the Artificer. The Guardian of Dominus. Today, you have all gathered here without knowing why...and soon you will find out. Good citizens of the realm, some of you are still haunted by the things you saw before the reset was ended. Most of you have no clear idea as to why Excelsis was violently razed to the ground by the man who calls himself: Destroyer. Well...that is the folly of your former leader. The Oracle is the o

Finally, preparations were complete and the festival began.Currently the three...or four of us? Were walking through the city streets and looking at the different attractions. That is to say, the Albatross twins and Stella.I allowed the others off of the ship so that they could enjoy themselves for a bit. The Artificer assured us that the area was secure. He was sure that the Oracle's Faithful had completely abandoned Excelsis. On every corner, we saw a squad of six drones. Additionally, other groups could be seen flying around above.Still, despite all of this...Isabella remained ever vigilant. Always clinging to my arm and staying right next to me. Despite the Artificer's reassurance, she continued to protect me.Stella followed behind with a content smile on her face. After a short while of looking at the different attractions, I found Iris along with Carlos and Leiso.Carlos looked a bit bored while Leiso seemed out of place.Iris was playing a game at a stall featuring several

  • Chapter 253: Missing Faithful

A few days later, things were finally beginning to look different in Excelsis.I could see flying metal constructs buzzing around in the air on insect-like wings, surveying the area. At the same time, many of the people of Excelsis were setting up decorations for a festival.Hilariously, they wouldn't know what they were celebrating until the day arrived. And as I sat on a bench nearby, Isabella sat happily next to me, clinging to my arm.Stella stood at my side surveying the area. There would have been other troops under her, but I chose not to bring them. The soldiers were specifically for the defense of the ship itself."Hmm..." "Is something wrong, Master?" Isabella said."You're having way too much fun calling me that, aren't you?" I said."Ehehe...guilty. I like seeing your reaction. But if I'm going to be a slave, I should play the part, yes?"I suppose so..." I said."I, for one, believe it to be perfectly natural to refer to his Majesty as Master," Stella said."Hm...right..

  • Chapter 252: Heart Resonance

As we walked back to the Cursebreaker, I could see Isabella constantly surveying the surrounding area for potential threats. However, many of the gods walking the streets recognized me as the one who razed Excelsis to the ground. The one who brought death and destruction to their realm. The result, was that they were absolutely terrified of me and made no attempts to approach. After all, many of them had actually been killed as a result of my actions. All the while I secretly remained on the lookout for a potential candidate. One goddess from this realm would join us on our ship. They would become mine forever and dedicate their existence to serving me and stopping the Corruption. But unfortunately, none of these would do. They were weak. I decided to ignore them and focus on something else.I had other plans, currently. I would be speaking to Iris and everyone about what she had to show them. They were valuable crew members, so I wanted to see what she had planned.Once we reached t

After a month-long journey back to Excelsis...we finally returned.I couldn't believe how long it took to get back.We didn't have access to the divine transit, and as a result, it took much longer to get there.Of course, that gave me an idea. I wondered if I could potentially have a personal god or goddess to join our crew. Then I stopped and though about it more...Definitely a goddess. While more pleasing to look at, I could bring her even closer to me. And if she's completely under my control, she'll follow every order willingly. Best of all, someone like that is highly unlikely to betray me. I wouldn't have to enact vengeance upon her and remain on good terms...I almost smiled. That would be my next goal...find a goddess to join our crew to have permanent access to the divine transit. And maybe...Make new Enforcers...?It was too amazing. Our combat force would grow significantly from such a thing. We would be even stronger than before!I made a mental note to also have Iris t

While waiting on the final shipment of heart stones, I stood outside the Cursebreaker with Cassandra. We were also waiting on...the body for Virtus. The AI for our ship was a shy girl that had trouble talking to people. Unfortunately, I didn't know enough about computer programming to change her behavior. And Vakra refused even under the threat of death. So...we were stuck with her...A hour passed and Cassandra affectionately held onto my arm while humming."Having fun...?" I asked."Of course! I get to be with my darling Mizik!" Cassandra said happily. Then I looked forward and saw an eye staring at me in mid air a few feet away."Oh...damn it all..." I mumbled. It opened wider and Valthiem stood quietly with her mask on."Valthiem!? What are you doing here!?" Cassandra said as she readied herself."..."Then I felt that suffocating impending doom I had grown quite used to...Difar rose out of Valthiem's shadow and glared at me."Dammit...I had a speech prepared and everything. Stella exclaimed. Before I could respond, I heard the voice of Faith again.[This woman is filled with a great adoration for you! She also holds amazing power!
