The next day, we ate breakfast and I began meditation again.I wanted to make some last minute changes to the status magic system I planned to cast on the Enforcers.As far as I could tell, the Enforcer Aspects gave incredible power but didn't alter my stats in any way.In fact, the changes seemed to be invisible. The next day we began settling into a new routine.We had to practice our abilities, so Rune offered to spar with us.She was extremely efficient in battle and held the Advanced Aspect of Telekinesis.Although being an Attendant meant she only had one Aspect and its power wasn't very high. Nonetheless, she used it well as a means of assassination with the many small throwing knives she held.She was incapable of hitting me, though. We had been inside the Hammerhead for a week, now on our way to the part of Nexus that we would be infiltrating.Currently, we wore Nexus combat uniforms. The standard clothing of most of the citizens from that country. The first thing I noticed upon reaching solid ground after teleporting, was how much magical power it actually used.Teleporting myself was one thing, even mildly long distances.But more than one person? Alice and I made our way quickly to the Abyss Engine tower.We reached a wall just past the area where we encountered Kazuma and I teleported us to the other side of it. Then I used the compass to direct us to the power source.Eventually, we came close to a massive tower. I felt the buzzing sensation from before radiating from before and started feeling pain in my head. To be honest, it was hard to maintain focus on the invisibility and any minute, it would likely run out.We decided that the best course of action would be to begin the assault now.The front door was monitored by two stationary guards holding assault rifles.
