Michael did not refuse or accept Charles' request. He stood up from his seat and left his grandson there alone.

From the expression on his grandfather's face, Charles knew that his grandfather's words when asking him to do anything to stop Jonah, his uncle, were lies. His grandfather still couldn't let his only living son give up the Duke family name even though Jonah had tried to kill him, and his uncle had done it all in front of his grandfather's eyes.

"If Grandpa knew that Uncle Jonah was directly related to father's death, would Grandpa still defend him?" Charles muttered sadly.

He left the Duke family mansion, heading for the company center that was already his. Yes, Charles was no longer in charge of the branch company in New York. Now, he was officially leading the central company in Washington.

In Washington, he tried to clear his mind. All the events that happened, every fact that began to unfold, to the deaths of people who had had problems with him.
