It's Useless

The next day, Jack stepped into his office with his thoughts racing. The room, which was usually a place of concentration and busyness, was now filled with the turmoil of his own thoughts. He tried tenaciously to maintain his focus, even though the shadow of last night's events still surrounded him like a fog that didn't want to move away.

Ashley tried to approach Jack with caution, smelling the tense atmosphere. However, Jack suddenly chose to keep his distance. His serious expression and measured steps made Ashley feel confused and a little depressed. Did he do something wrong?
