Jack Vs. Daniel

Jack continued to work in the office until the sun went down and it started to get dark. He saw Ashley, already getting ready to go home.

"Ashley, you can go home early. Thank you for your hard work today," Jack said gently.

Ashley smiled broadly. "Thank you Jack. Hope all is well."

After Ashley left, Jack felt like he was being left in the silence of the increasingly quiet office. He sat down at his desk, letting his thoughts drift. Suzzane's words kept swirling in his head. If it was true that the Hawthorne family had a plan to sabotage the Schmidt family's tender, it could be a big opportunity for him. But he also knew that involving himself in this sort of thing was a huge risk.
