Truth

With careful steps, Jack stepped down from the second floor until he reached a place that seemed invisible before. In front of him, there was a dead end that made him stop. He looked around, eyes glued to every detail. The humidity in the air was biting, and an old scent permeated his breath.

“No way… Why isn't there anything?” Jack asked himself, his voice echoing in the silence that seemed to respond to his question. His throat produced a swish that had not been heard for a long time.

Jack tried to look for anything around the dark walls that surrounded him. Shaking hands felt the coldness of the metallic surface. Accidentally, his finger touched a digital sensor that looked unusual. As soon as Jack's finger touched the surface, the sensor opened a glass box that covered a hidden mechanism. Jack looked at it in amazement, as he now realized it was an iris sensor, used to unlock secrets.
