Maxwell stood with a smile on his face as Riya rushed into his arm. She was looking so excited he could tell that she had waited long for him to return.

" I'm sorry that I stayed so long Riya," Maxwell said in a low voice as he held her still in his arm.

They held each other in that position for a few seconds before they slowly pulled away. Maxwell instantly noticed the sad look on Riya's face and he asked immediately" Riya is something wrong?" He asked with a tone of concern in his voice.

Riya took some steps away from him letting out a sigh of relief." Maxwell, I do not understand why things are just not going so well these days. Look at Amelia on the bed. She looks so peaceful, she's supposed to be healthy And happy." Via said.

Maxwell glanced at Amelia was lying unconscious on the bed. He felt sorry for the poor lady and more than anything else at the moment he wished there was something he could do to help her.
