Chapter Sixty Five

Maxwell saw the look on her face and it instantly confirmed his suspicion.

He wanted to ask her where she had been and what her name was but before he could say anything, she hopped into the cab and the driver drove off without hesitation.

He stood there for some minutes wondering how Laurel had a sister but never mentioned her or even spoke about her by mistake.

As he walked back to the funeral ground, he could see the people leaving gradually.

The funeral had ended.

Amelia didn't attend the funeral though, she was still at the hospital.

He saw Wilson still seated on his chair but Harrison was nowhere to be found.

He walked around to find Harrison but his search was in vain.

He walked to Wilson and standing at a distance he said.

"I have not seen Harrison"

His question was met with total quietness as Wilson just stared and him and looked away without a word.

Well, at this time he was already used to Wilson's cold treatment.

He walked away and found a seat at the back row.
