Violet stood fuming on the porch of their elegant family home, her frustration boiling over like a cauldron on a hot stove. Her cousin, Lucas, stood before her, his expression a mixture of confusion and defensiveness. The afternoon sun beat down mercilessly, mirroring the intensity of their exchange.

"You imbecile!" Violet spat, her voice dripping with venom. "How could you bring that incompetent fool into our home?"
