Chapter 2 - Let’s get a Divorce.

Anger, sadness and Devastation, those were the three things Cephas was feeling when his eyes fell on them.

Everything in his head stopped moving, he stared into space, losing consciousness.

A strange man, he didn’t know, was kissing his wife, kneading her backside like it was a dough.

She also responded to his kisses passionately, digging her fingers into his hair.

“What are you doing here?” Violet’s voice brought him back to reality.

She had pulled away from the man she was kissing when they noticed Cephas’s presence.

The man she was kissing remained where he was, Violet was now in front of him.

She gestured to hold his hand but he refused, taking a few steps backward. “Violet, who is he?” He held himself from losing his temper.

The woman that mattered so much to him. The woman he had to bear that humiliation for was hooking up with another man.

“That’s Kade, Hannah’s brother. He is just a friend to me,” She tried explaining herself with obvious lies.

“A friend? You let your friends kiss you now?” He asked angrily.

“If they buy me pretty things and give me a lot of money, yes, I let them kiss me. Is something wrong with it?”

“How can you say such ridiculous words, Violet? After all I do to make you happy. I give you everything you ask for.”

“Here you go again with your lies. The bag you promised to buy me is out of season.”

Cephas could not believe his ears, she was with another man but all she was about was the bag she wanted.

Women are cruel.

“The bag you requested for is what matters right now? What about the kiss? Is that fair?”

“How is it not fair? You lied that you were working in some big company, that was why I agreed to marry you.” She folded her arms, pointing her fingers at him.

“Look at you, a mere delivery man. I am now dating a man that will take good care of me. Suffering doesn’t suit me, when was the last time I visited a spa, did my hair, wore proper wigs.”

“But you never asked, Violet. I would have taken more jobs to get you the money for that.”

“I hate to see you struggle. Kade is ready to bear my financial burdens without struggling. You should move on.”

“What do you mean by move on?” He asked with so much tension in him.

She grabbed her bag and brought some papers out of it. She flung them on his face. “I am tired of being stuck with you.”

He picked up the paper and scanned the content, “You are divorcing me? Violet, this is not necessary.”

He tapped his temple, ignoring that she was disrespecting him in front of her side piece.

She gave him the divorce papers at the lounge, had she schemed the whole thing that happened just because she wanted a divorce?

“You are not the judge of that. You caught me cheating already. Just let me go.”She insisted.

“I can forgive you for cheating, we can’t go our separate ways now. Not now, please.”

“Cephas, I have made up my mind. I won’t go back on my words.”

“Is this about bag? Let's leave this place. I will buy it for you immediately and I will buy the other things tomorrow I promise.”

“Where will you get the money to buy me everything I want tomorrow? What if I asked you for the latest model of ferrari, would you get it for me?’

“YES, Violet. Even if I have to take a loan, I can do it. That is how much I love you.”

“It’s over already, Cephas. You will find a better woman that can cope with you and your wretched lifestyle.”

“Things can change for me, I might be richer than Kade in the nearest future. Don’t lose me, please. You have suffered enough with me, I don’t want you to regret making me sign these divorce papers.”

“Are you Gold or Silver? I want to lose you!! What you said about Kade, let’s see how you can get richer than him by doing your petty deliveries.”

“Don’t lose me, please,” she mimicked him. “You should leave soon before we call security.”

“You underestimate me, Violet. Let’s leave that aside and just go home so we can yalk about this. I love you.” His eyes become teary.

“Love yourself first, you look like a mess right now with all that’s on your body.”

“They don’t matter. A divorce doesn’t matter too.we don’t need it. This man has nothing to offer you.”

“Speak for yourself, he has given me a lot of things in a week. Throughout our marriage you never bought one-third of it for me.”

“I will begin to buy them now.”

“Just forget it, it’s over, Cephas. Sign all of the papers and leave this house.”

Cephas folded the papers and kept it in his pocket. He dragged his legs out of the room.

The music that was playing in the lounge had stopped playing and everyone was staring at him.

He had never been so embarrassed in his whole life.

“Happy Divorcee life,” Hannah yelled after him, everyone else laughed.

“He’s so obsessed with Violet that he doesn’t want anyone to take care of her.”

“He can’t even take care of her. I’m happy Violet cuts off his reins.”

“I like the way Kade didn’t say anything throughout. Rich men don’t talk too much. It’s only the wretched ones.”

“Don’t lose me,” another person mimicked him. “Like he is the heir to the biggest empire in the world.”

They had listened to all that he was discussing with Violet . He lowered his head in shame as he walked out

He went into the bathroom to wash himself off so he wouldn't stain his boss’s scooter.

Standing in front of the sink, water streamed down his eyes. He was done washing the cake stain off his face.

They ruined his mood, violet and her friend. He didn’t get only humiliation but also divorce papers from her.

His clothes were a mess too. He stunk to himself and couldn’t bear the irritation he felt with himself.

He took off his shirt to wash and blow dry it then he phone began to ring.

His boss was obviously waiting for him to return to the shop so he ignored the call.

The call didn’t stop so he decided to pick it up without checking the ID.

“Hello, Young Master. This is Zoro. Your exile period is over. We are coming to get you to regain your place as the Heir to as the Magnate of Walter Corporations.”
