“This is the last time you’d see me this way,” Cephas promised and he bowed before leaving the Marcus’s house.

It was more like a vow but it sounded like a threat. The Marcus were speechless and could not say anything because he talked to them like an authoritative person.

He sounded like a different person, the aura and the tone. It was new to them. He turned on his heels and walked away from them then his assistants followed suit.

“I have called Ms Sarah' team to provide transportation for us,” Anta informed them as she walked closer to Cephas.

She was feeling more comfortable now, Jose had helped her out of her heels and worn his sneakers on her feet.

Then he himself was barefoot.

“How long will it take them to locate us?” Cephas looked at his worst watch to check the time. It was three am already.

He felt guilty that his assistants were in that state because of him, Anta’s legs must have been hurting her so bad that Jose gave her his shoes to wear now he was barefoot.
