Selena stared at Aldrich with an incredulous look. She wasn't sure what the man in front of her was saying. It was not new to her that the men close to her were even more interested in Charlotte when they found out who she was, who was only an illegitimate child in the Ledger family.

Aldrich noticed the unchanged look on Selena's face. "I don't like Charlotte. Charlotte's nature is the worst woman I've ever known and she has no intelligence. Tends to be careless in making decisions and can also only judge the quality of others by their status."

Selena watched Aldrich carefully, then had quite different thoughts on Aldrich, unlike Charlotte's view. Selena smiled, then turned her face towards the food before them. "Butler Rhodes is really very good. He managed to raise you well. Butler Rhodes is a very good man. No wonder you are too."

Aldrich smiled happily at Selena's praise. "You're also a good woman. Your gentle demeanor is one of your qualities."

Selena blushed with embarrassment a
