Katherine laughed. It was a small thing, soft and high in tone that lasted only a couple of seconds but it was enough to plunge the entire room into pensive silence. An uncertain frown grew on Cindy's beautiful face, one that only enhanced the vindictive smirk that Chuck had on as he watched the whole thing.

Finally the woman spoke and the words she said were not at all what they had expected.
