The Iconic Man

Chapter 5

John and Cynthia went to one of the biggest and expensive mores in town on getting there John was stunned and could not believe what his eyes were seeing. He looked around and saw different kinds of things he never expected to see or touch. Cynthia took him to the clothes store.

Cynthia said " Did you like this suit here".

John was carried away with all what he was seeing Cynthia tapped him.

John said "Sorry the thing is that this place looks amazing, everything here is awesome and expensive".

Cynthia picked some clothes for him to try on and looked nice and smart on him. She took him to the shoes store where John picked each type of shoes that he liked. After getting to each store and having gotten all that John needed, they held it to the counter to pay.

John gave the lady sitting at the counter the diamond platinum card. The lady recognized the card and she greeted him and addressed him respectively and returned the card.

John could not understand, on their way out he asked Cynthia about the sudden change of the lady at the counter.

Cynthia replied "That Moore is one of our company branche we different branches you will soon get to know it all as time goes on".

As they are returning back to the office John was still surprised he could have never imagined he could have ever come to a place like that.

On getting to the company Cynthia told him to follow her to the car park. On getting there John was looking at the cars with a smiling face.

John said to Cynthia "This car, who is the owner or the staff that works in this company owns it, everything is neat, not even dust particles could see on it.

Cynthia replied "These are the company's cars and I was asked to tell you to pick anyone of your choice".

John was surprised he said "Wow thank God I could never imagine me owning a car".

"It's time to close for work today," Cynthia said.

John replied " Alright, I am starting work tomorrow and hope you will be here early to support me ".

Cynthia replied " Yes sir I will be here as early as possible".

John said "Okay you can take your leave".

John went to his newly given car and drove home,  when he gets to his house and came down from the car his neighbor that were outside saw him looking at him in curiosity

He greeted them and went inside, the neighbors started gossiping, one said "where did he get that car from" 

Another one said "he stole it" another one said "maybe he borrowed it" they all gathered around saying different opinions.

On another working day John woke up happily. He stood up and prayed and he got ready for work putting on the expensive suit and shoes that Cynthia had picked for him.

 Immediately he stepped outside and saw some of his neighbors staring at him. He greeted them and entered his car and drove away.

One of his neighbors said to one another what was really going on yesterday. He brought an expensive car home this morning. He wears an expensive dress. We really need to be careful with this man.

John gets to the company and every staff member was looking at him astonishingly, as he passed by each one of them greeted him ,"Good morning sir" he responded "morning".

He went to his office and saw everywhere was cleaned and tidy up he smiled and sat down.

Cynthia entered saying " Good morning sir"

John replied "Morning, how was your night?". 

Cynthia"it was fine sir and yours".

John replied fine, okay let's get back to business and get me all the files of each department of this office starting from the perfume department".

Cynthia went and brought all the files, both Cynthia and John were busy working on the files. When it was time for launch John was already hungry Cynthia recommended the company eatery to him and they both went there.

During lunch time John said to Cynthia can I get some boys that will help me in packing my things because I want to move to the official house this weekend.

Cynthia replied "Okay sir I will inform some of our boys to do so first thing on Saturday morning". After lunch they both resumed back to work,  

After a long day John told Cynthia " Pack the files that are yet to be checked to one side of the table so tomorrow I will work on it".

Cynthia replied "Okay sir" as she packed it to one side of the table and closed all the windows.

Both of them left the office.
