093: The Theory of Grudges

"That wasn't my jacket. From your description, it sounds like a hunting jacket. And I never went hunting."

Dim-Dim felt as though someone had just slapped him when his father said that.

"But my mom lost her sight," Dim-Dim muttered. "Perhaps she doesn't know—"

"No, even before she lost her sight, she no longer loved me," his father said. "But I won't tell you about that past, because I don't want your perception of your mother to change."

And now Dim-Dim stared at his father with anger. "I don't believe you," he said with hatred, then stormed out of his father's room.

Outside the hospital, he transformed into an eagle and flew towards the venator building, towards Damian.

"Damian!" he exclaimed, running towards the venator building. His forehead was sweating, and his breath was short.

"Dim-Dim," Velicia said, the first to see him in the room, while Damian, who was running on the treadmill, saw Dim-Dim's expression and pressed the button to stop the treadmill.
