"Isn't tomorrow your birthday?"

"Yeah, why?" Dim-Dim asked, and Justin shrugged.

"No, I'm just sad thinking that this year we'll celebrate your birthday without Velicia. She was always the most enthusiastic about decorating."

Upon hearing that, Dim-Dim's heart pained again. "Please, let's not talk about it. I'm not ready to discuss my birthday. I need to focus on tomorrow's trial."

"Okay," Justin said. "I'll go back to my room so Cassini won't get mad." And a moment later, he disappeared.

The next day, Dim-Dim woke up early, showered, and put on his Illicitor uniform again. Half an hour later, Amma called him for breakfast at the hotel restaurant.

The chef served unique luxurious dishes, which Dim-Dim enjoyed as best as he could.

Then Amma gave him a gift box, and Dim-Dim's attention immediately shifted to the present.

"Happy birthday," Amma said. "Open it. There's something inside."
