This was real. Cory could swear that it was, yet there were doubled-fangs doubts eating at his hope.

His mother was still holding on to him. She didn't want to let go of him. He could feel her warmth and the love she had for him. He didn't want her to let go either.

He held her, reciprocating the emotions. He had never known his mother. Although he had seen her picture, he had never seen her in person. He had been dying to meet her.
