As Matthew lunged toward Crystal, Bard seized the moment, shoving Matthew aside, causing him to stumble and fall to the ground.

“What are you doing?” Matthew yelled from where he lay, his eyes blazing with anger.

“Don’t touch Miss Crystal with your dirty hands!” Bard shouted, stepping forward to shield Crystal.

“You poor driver, aren’t you afraid of what I’ll do to your car? You’d better get out of here before I get really angry,” Matthew taunted, his voice dripping with menace.

“I won’t do it.”

“Don’t you know that my father is the owner of Aurora Hills Food Factory? I can easily have my security refuse to let you unload your items there. Let’s see if any of the villagers will still use your services then!”

Some village women began gathering around, drawn by the commotion.

Seeing the growing crowd, Matthew glanced around nervously, his discomfort evident. “Crystal, you’d better think carefully. I’ll come back tomorrow, and you should accept me, or many bad things will happen to you.”

Don’t you even think about facing the police later?"Alex laughed, a cold, mocking sound that echoed in the dark alley. He kept moving forward, his gaze never leaving Matthew’s.“Of all people, you’re the one talking? There have been two cases of missing high school girls in the last five years. Do you happen to know where they’ve gone?”Matthew’s face paled as he stammered, “W-What do you mean? I don’t understand…”“Really?” Alex’s eyes narrowed, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “Then why do you have a sex video with both of the women who went missing?”He stepped forward again, this time grabbing Matthew’s collar, his grip tightening as he leaned in closer. “It’s simple. You had your fun with them, and then you killed them, right?”Matthew’s heart pounded in his chest. “What kind of bullshit are you talking about?” he spat out, trying to pull away. But Alex only smiled, a sinister grin s

Alex walked to the forest near the lake, carefully choosing a secluded spot. The cool breeze rustled the leaves, as he began to build an A-frame shelter. He found two sturdy sticks, placing them in the ground at an angle to form an "A" shape. With steady hands, he laid a longer stick across the top, then meticulously draped branches and leaves over it for cover. As nightfall descended, the forest grew darker, and the sounds of distant owls and crickets filled the air.Alex worked tirelessly, his breath visible in the cold night air.He struck a match and lit a small fire in front of his makeshift camp, the flames casting flickering shadows on the trees around him. After about an hour of working in the darkness, his simple tent was finally finished, just enough to offer shelter. He pulled out his old military bag, the worn fabric rough against his hands, and took out the emergency food rations.Sitting by the fire, Alex ate in silence, the crackling of the flames the only sound accompa

One student raised his hand. “Sir, it is impossible for humans like us to become gods.”The old man’s gaze was sharp.“Then you can return to where you came from. Don’t waste your time here,” he said without hesitation.“So, does that mean I cannot become a god if I don’t believe?” The student mocked. “Is it all about faith?”“No,” the old man replied. “How can you reach a place you refuse to see? Or how can you arrive at a destination that you deny with every fiber of your being? You’ll be wasting your time. Even if you somehow arrive, you still won’t see it.”The teachings at the academy ended by noon, leaving the afternoon free for everyone to pursue their own paths.Inside the academy, there were two kinds of people. The first were the nobles and the wealthy. They came to learn, but if they failed to reach the top, they used their time to forge connections with other nobles and rich businessmen, planning to build networks that spanned across the world. The second kind were the poo

The old teacher continued his lesson in the amphitheatre, his voice echoing off the stone walls. “There’s a saying from Lao Tzu, ‘The world is a small place; you don’t need to leave home to see everything.’”He paused, letting the words sink in. “Does anyone know why he said that?”One of the students raised his hand and answered, “Because we have the internet?”A few others chuckled at the response. The teacher smiled gently. “Yes, but in the old days, they didn’t have the internet. So how could they see everything?”Silence filled the space as the students, all first-years, struggled to find an answer.“The answer,” the teacher began, “is the heart. The non-physical heart, where your feelings reside. This is the most powerful tool you can use to connect with the divine power. If you understand your heart, you can see everything in this world without ever leaving home.”Another student, skeptical, raised his hand. “I don’t believe it. Can you prove it?”The old man smiled. “Have you
