Miles alighted from the car along with Ashley as soon as the cab they boarded pulled over in front of the hospital.

"You have not paid, Mr," The cabby called Miles's attention when he turned to leave, and Miles walked back to him.

"I'm sorry," Miles apologized as he took out a hundred-dollar note and gave it to the cabby. He turned immediately and hurried away even as the cabby was calling his attention to come back for his change.

Ashley had already walked into the hospital, so Miles walked in also and spotted her walking toward the elevator. He hurried after her and they took the elevator to the third floor where Ashley's Mom was admitted.

Ashley hurried out of the elevator as soon as the elevator rolled open on the third floor, and Miles did the same.

Ashley's heart pounded hard against her chest as she walked briskly down the walkway with fear written all over her, while Miles trailed behind her. She finally pushed the door to one of the wards open and barged inside.
