70: The Betrayal (I)

Liam didn't stop driving until an hour later when he reached the beach. He and Stevie-Lou were at least 97 kilometers away from Ted. It was miraculous that Stevie-Lou didn't cry during the whole drive, Liam could tell she was bottling up the emotions within her, by the way she sighed from time to time.

The beach had a few people there, not as crowded as it was supposed to be. Liam and Stevie-Lou hadn't spoken a word to each other nor did anyone make a move to step out of the car. They were still inside and Liam still had his hands on the steering wheel.

He could imagine the kind of pain she was going through; the explosion in her dressing room and then Ted's women.

Liam felt the need to comfort her but he didn't know how to start, he was even scared that he might offend her.

Seeing her like this just made him feel terrible for wishing she never loved Ted or wanted to marry him. It was the right thing but she was in pain.
