72: The Betrayal (III)

Liam was detained for forty-eight hours after going through the first interrogation. They were doing more research about Emily's death and until things were confirmed false, he would remain under detention.

"I need you to be cooperative with me, Liam Price. So we can get to the end of this and clear your name if you truly are innocent." Detective Maverick slapped a file on the desk as he took his seat opposite Liam for the second time that day.

"Your late father's butler found you on the evening of your twin's burial?" Detective Maverick inquired.

"Yes," Liam replied.

"You claimed she died of cardiovascular disease, that she's always had a weak heart since from childhood?" The detective popped this second question.

"Yes." Liam put his hands on the desk.

"And it's Doctor Beistein who handles everything."

Liam waited for a few seconds to run by before nodding in agreement to this.

"Well, here's his report as Emily's doctor," Detective Maverick held up a file to Liam's face, "it states t
