57 • Lola Complains to Xander

Lola burst into tears as soon as she stepped out of the office. She ran down to the curb to let it all out as she didn't want Matthew seeing her crying.

"Oh, yeah. About that, I actually wanted to talk to you about it. But it seems we'd have to do a physical discussion on it, or what do you think?" Xander's voice echoed as he walked down with one of his hands holding up his phone against his ear and the other hand shoved into his pocket.

He walked with calculated strides as the conversation he was having over the phone looked like a really serious one.

"Okay? How sure are you about that? Well, we'd talk about that soon. Could you get someone to check on my car? Yeah, the Maybach. I think it has some faults. Thank you very much, and also...." He paused as he heard the sound of someone crying from the corner.

"Hold on, I think someone is sobbing around here. Let me check it out." He said. He walked down and found Lola by the curb, crying.

"Let me call you back." He said as he hung
