Hearing the word ‘Execution’ didn’t give William a reason to calm down with all that’s going on.
The worst part about it all was that the huge man in front of him currently holding a machete gave him enough reason to believe that he was actually about to be executed.
“Someone very important wants you dead! So any…”
Before the huge man could complete his statement, William instantly dashed away.
He ran into the streets without looking back.
The men in black never expected William to react fast so their surprise left him with a little time to pick up a pace.
William was dropped into the lonely parts of Hilton city where people with low status lived in.
A place were old men who were drunk to stupor along with beggars and hooligans dwell.
None of them bothered to react with what was going on because scenarios like this happened here frequently. After all, it was because of this fact he was brought here to be killed. No one would interfere.
William was frightened and didn’t bother to scream for help because he knew no one would come to his aid. He was from a neighborhood like this after all.
William knew Lady Michelson wanted him out of their lives but he never expected her to resort to this measure.
‘That old hag!’ William cursed as he ran for his life.
However, cursing won’t do him any good.
“Get him!”
The huge man voiced rang in his ears which caused his anxiety to increase more.
‘Luckily for me they didn’t drop me deep into the outskirts of the city. I can still make it to the main city.’
Getting back where the rich lived was the only hope he had right now to survive.
The main parts of Hilton city was guarded so if he can outrun his chasers and get there he will have a chance of surviving.
William dashed into an alleyway to use a short cut.
He was too confused to even think about anything else but surviving.
How did he get into this kind of mess? No, he never intended to get into a situation like this.
All he wanted to do was stay with his daughter but it was something hard to do all because some people more powerful than him valued their greed more.
‘I have never once tried to play dirty with Lady Michelson but since she wants to play dirty with me then I’ll play her game to get my daughter back!’ William thought with gritted teeth as he continued running.
However, he couldn’t continue thinking of any of that now. All he could focus on now was surviving.
POW! POW!
Williams heart skipped a beat when he not only heard the loud sound of a gunshot behind him but also felt the bullets grazing him by a hair breathe and hitting the wall.
It was then William realized he may likely die here. Taken by his adrenaline, William ran faster.
He swiftly climbed a fence at the corner of the alleyway he was on and ended up in another alleyway. Not wanting relax he could see the public so he intended to leave the alleyway. Besides not too far again, was the beautiful part of Hilton city.
However, just as he was almost outside the alleyway something bad happened.
Bang!
William felt the world go black as he fell to the ground with force. He was hit by the arm of the huge man.
“Where do you think you are going?” The huge man said as he blocked William way.
William laid on the floor feeling like he had just been hit by a trailer. He tried his best to get back up but it was too late. The men chasing him from behind caught up.
With the huge man in his front and remaining men behind him William had no where to go.
There were also old three drunkards who had nothing to do with the confrontation going on and didn’t intend on having anything to do with it.
The moment the chaos broke in the alleyway, they instantly jumped into the waste bin at the corner trying to stay safe and now due to their curiosity they could only peek at the scene.
A slid of blood dripped from the corner of William’s mouth as his mind began racing.
In less than a second he was trying to think of different ways to save himself here but there was nothing his mind could give him.
There was no way he thought he could take all these guys on.
‘What will I do?…I don’t want to die here. I still have to look after…Amelia and mother! I can’t die here’ William thought with a worried look and eyes already red for survival.
‘Why did I have to be born poor? God should’ve just put me a big family or made my family richer.’ William cursed.
The truth is if he was rich he wouldn’t have found himself in this situation.
It’s because he’s poor that’s why he’s about to be killed and nobody will know about what happened to him nor will anyone care about him except Amelia and his mother.
‘Why does life has to be so unfair to me? I really don’t want to die here!’
‘I don’t want to die!’ William prayed in his heart hoping that god will answer.
However, reality was harsh. If God answered anyone like that people won’t die! People won’t be poor and people won’t be in situations that they don’t want to be in.
After various thoughts went through William’s mind under just a second he gritted his teeth in resilience . “Fuck it at least if I’m going to die I’ll die fighting!”
William stood back on his feet with fierce expression as he faced the big man in front of him not fearing death.
However, still some things just can’t change and that was the power difference between the huge man and William.
“Hahaha! I would have granted you a quick death but my master who sent me told me to take my time.” The huge man took a step forward and gave William a blow in the gut with all his might which sent William flying back like a kite that had been cut loose.
William saw the world go slow in his eyes as he gush out a mouth of blood.
He hit one of the men behind him and they both fell to ground.
The man in black William had crashed into got back on his feet even though what happened to him was a casualty but William laid still on the floor weak.
He tried to say something but he was even too weak to say something.
The last thing he saw was the huge man casually walking towards him and then everything became black.
William became unconscious.
William didn’t want to die so bad so he prayed that something would help him. However, little did he know that sometimes one did not only pray to God for their prayer to be answered, sometimes even a demon can come to one’s stead…

“Ouch…” William could feel nothing except for a pain in his head as his blurry sight cleared.
The first thing he saw was bloodstains on both his hands.
William’s mind was still too blank but instantly a cry of fear caught his attention.
“Stay away from me!”
He looked forward to see the huge man with injuries and bruises all over his face. The Huge man could barely stand but his fear when looking at him was so great so he stood up and still forced himself to leave the alleyway.
William watched the the huge man run away and then he also noticed the bodies of the whole men in black lying on the ground inside the alleyway.
It was a massacre.
Now with total confusion written on his face William had to ask..
