The gang men looked amongst themselves like Ron had a mental problem or was just blind that he couldn’t see that he was terribly outnumbered.Ron took off his suit jacket. This number was nothing he had faced before. A total of 15 men stood before him now and he was already calculating speed and time. One man against fifteen. He should be about to break history right now.The leader nudged his head and one of his goons picked up a table and smashed it hard on the ground. The poor wood broke into splinters, beyond repair. “No!” The manager rushed out from her hiding when she heard the ruckus, her pupils dilated at the sight of the crushed windows and the broken seat.“Stand back. I will handle this,” Ron told her as soon as he saw the fear in her eyes. She shook her head, wishing she had just given them their cuts and avoided this trouble. This man her sister provided for her wouldn’t be able to save her now. They were all dead meat.“Let me just settle them—“ Ron stopped her stutteri
Ron crossed his arms over his chest as his narrowed gaze fixed on the men pledging allegiance to him. They were just a bunch of fools, who didn’t have anything better to do.He turned to the manager. “Does it hurt a lot? I will help you get that cleaned in a bit.”She shook her head and nodded, all responses to his two different questions. He focused on the thugs again, who were still kneeling with their heads lowered.Once men like this pledged their loyalty, they would do whatever their boss wanted, even if it meant ordering them to jump into fire.“Stand up and leave,” Ron finally said.“Master, is there anything you’d like us to do?”He thought long and hard about it. The Freckles would no longer have customers because of the scene they had just displayed earlier. It would scare people off.“Market this place, then.” Ron made a thinking face, holding up the leader’s chin. “I want you to be in charge of doing that. What’s your name?”“Tiger,” the man said and Ron made a face at the
Ron shook her hand despite his unresolved problem. “It was nice doing business with you, ma’am.”She spared him a white smile, prolonging their hand shake and staring into his eyes. Ron felt uneasy. He cleared his throat and stepped back from her. “You must stop by one of these days. We’d love to serve you here,” the woman said, walking him out.Ron knew he’d have to come back here. The Black Scorpions which now belonged to him would be here for a while. He had another responsibility now.He waved at the manager and patted Tiger hard on the head, whispering in his ear. “I want you to imagine your parts scattered across the floor every time you take in the view of the room.” He drew his ear harder again. “Do a good job here, so I don’t make do on my promise.”The man gulped and bobbed his head until Ron let go of him. He put his jacket back on and arranged his cuffs. As Ron exited the building, his phone rang and he put it to his ear without checking the ID“Hello?”No answer.“Sena,
He took a seat beside one of his colleagues, “Good evening. Can you share with me your slides?”Ron wanted to figure out what exactly Adina intended on doing to solve her problem. His colleague opened it up and showed it to him. He saw that they include pressure as one of the tools to secure Erica Rowling’s partnership. Ron shook his head. A woman like that would despise being pressured.“This is the only idea you’ve come up with?”His colleague shrugged. “The director asked us to put this down from the get go. Not much work has been done yet.”Kate slid into the chair next to Ron, packing her hair into a bun. Ron eyed the flawless skin of her neck, it looked like velvet. He was a sucker for good skin. She noticed he had been staring. “What’s wrong, Ron?”“Oh, nothing. You have great skin—“Adina slapped the table in between them from behind, so they hadn’t seen her coming. A storm brewed in her gaze as she shouted.“I don’t want to see anyone engaging in conversation! Get to work so
“This is all your fault!” A red faced Adina yelled at him as soon as she realised she was the one with the problem. Her back had been turned to the desk to hide the fact that she wasn’t wearing any panties underneath her clothes. She was mortified before her employees, neck heating and sweat beads forming over her forehead. Ron immediately took off his jacket and handed it over to her. He said, “Ma’am, take this and cover up.”Ron tried to wrap his jacket around her body but she snatched it and tossed it away. She fumed before him, looking at Ron like she wanted to end him.“This is all your fault and you dare offer me your stinking clothes!”“You are not being reasonable.” Ron tried to placate her. “Let me help you cover up while you return to your office and tomorrow, we all gather here to continue.”Kate squeaked, “Ms. Adina, he has a point—““Oh! Shut your mouth, you weasel!”Adina breathed hard and fast. It was Victoria, who immediately rushed to find a throw blanket from the l
Ron had never met Bella’s distant family before. He didn’t even know that Sai had other family members aside from Bella and Sena until much later. He thought that it was just the three of them and their deceased parents. Sena quickly scrambled out of the kitchen before Bella could catch her and ruin her and Dahlia’s plans for the following day. “Damn, Bella would kill me if I don’t get this done soon,” Ron muttered to himself, quickly adding the finishing touches to dinner. It took about half an hour before Ron finished in the kitchen and stepped outside with an apron around his neck to greet the guests. It was a young man with wavy brown hair and his very pale skinned wife, who sat in the living room with Bella. Their knees were knocked together so elegantly. “Good evening. I’m Ron, Bella’s husband.” He extended a hand to the man seated there, not expecting the glare he got in return. Ron took back his hand when it became awkward and he realised that neither this man nor his
Ron goes to the park with his daughter, who is worried about her mother. Ron comforts her and asks her what is wrong. Tilly explains the whole thing and says that she feels very embarrassed and angry that her mother did this to her. She also reveals her feelings about the boys in school, whom she finds attractive, but does not know how to talk to them. Her father reassures her that she will do well and will not feel embarrassed forever.Ron then calls Tilly for help and the girl comes to see her. She takes her to a hospital where Ron works. Ron explains that he needs Tilly's help because one of his patients is not able to recover and has been in a coma for two years. He asks Tilly to use her magic to wake her up.Tilly agrees to help him and begins to use her magic to cure the young woman. As Tilly works her magic, a small tear appears on the young woman's body and begins to glow. She wakes up from her coma, much to the amazement of Ron. He thanks Tilly for helping his patient. The
They both went downstairs where a car was waiting for them and Victoria was to serve as the chauffeur. Her demeanor hadn't changed since the last time Ron saw her.“Did Vic ever tell you what was wrong with her? She doesn't look herself,” Ron asked Adina."Nuh uh,” Adina said, holding her stomach."You good?”"Peachy”"For God's sake, that word.” Ron felt like he would throw up if he heard that word one more time.He went over to the other side of the car to let himself in.“What are you doing?" Adina stopped him in his tracks.“Getting into the car to meet the client we were supposed to meet." He couldn't understand the question.“The door, who would open it for me? An elf?" Adina barked at him.He ran over to her and opened the door for her as she had commanded. Before she got in, she noticed a little speck of dust on the car seat.“Take off your jacket," she said, looking at Ron. Victoria was just watching the drama unfold, helplessly.Following his orders, He did what he was comma
