He took a seat beside one of his colleagues, “Good evening. Can you share with me your slides?”

Ron wanted to figure out what exactly Adina intended on doing to solve her problem. His colleague opened it up and showed it to him.

He saw that they include pressure as one of the tools to secure Erica Rowling’s partnership. Ron shook his head. A woman like that would despise being pressured.

“This is the only idea you’ve come up with?”

His colleague shrugged. “The director asked us to put this down from the get go. Not much work has been done yet.”

Kate slid into the chair next to Ron, packing her hair into a bun. Ron eyed the flawless skin of her neck, it looked like velvet. He was a sucker for good skin.

She noticed he had been staring. “What’s wrong, Ron?”

“Oh, nothing. You have great skin—“
