Wandering down the hotel corridor, Rose scanned the room numbers, searching for her destination. Her steps came to a halt as she reached the door marked 107, denoting it as the Junior Suite she was seeking. She gently rapped on the door, calling out, "Hello?" Her voice hung in the air, waiting for a response, but the room remained silent.

Inserting her key card into the door, Rose cautiously pushed it open, allowing just half of her body to enter the room. "Hello?" she called out, her voice echoing in the silence.

Rose's gaze swept across the room as her body straddled the threshold, poised halfway in and halfway out. Her eyes landed on a small table adorned with a plate of chicken wings and a glass of juice. A tremor of hope rippled through her. "Jed?" She called out, her voice tinged with anticipation and concern, her heart pounding in her chest.
