If only his day could get even worse!

Keorh was sitting in the corner with his plate of food while the juniors stared at him as though he wasn't part of them.

He wasn't assuming things, they were really staring at him and he couldn't quite tell if it was fir a good or bad reason!

Of course he didn't forget the unexplainable incident that happened earlier in the morning! But it seem like the entire mansion had heard what happened.

Even the maids were stealing glances at him!

Keith tried to eat his food so he could return to his training. Ellinor was nowhere to be found by the time he had brought the tree figure out.

He had to start punching on his own, waiting for his trainer to come but that red haired bastard didn't show up!

Is he avoiding him just like everyone was? No, Ellinor is not the type to run away from any situation.

He was going to beat Paula and his men up the other day! Of course he's not scared!

I took a glance around the training field and the people staring at me pretend to look somewhere else.

“I am going to die alone at this point” I muttered to myself.

“You make it seem like a bad thing”

Ellinor settled beside him with her bowl of soup, eating away.

“Where were you? I looked everywhere…”

“Did you check under the tables? I was hiding from you” Ellinor said.

It took a moment for Keith to realise she was joking. Of course he wasn't hiding from him,nor like Paula and the rest of his men.

“For some weird reason, Paula thinks his presence activates your gifts' ' Ellinor said out loud.

“I looked everywhere for you! I thought you'd look at me strange like everyone else”

“Why does it matter how I look at you?” Ellinor asked, taking a mouth full of soup.

“Even if the whole world looks at me funny, you shouldn't. You're my trainer , that's why it matters how you look at me”

Keith returned to his meal without realising the heart strings he had pulled during that conversation..

Ellinor stared at him, trying to remind herself that there was nothing discreet in his message. He just said that because he needed her to train him.

Nothing else!

Right?

“Do I have to go back to the training ground after my meal? I want to ask you about something”

Ellinor stood on her feet, almost immediately as though she had seen something. She had come here to ask him questions about his gift but now, she couldn't even bring herself to meet his gaze!

Keith, shocked by Ellinor's sudden movement, stood on his feet as well in concern.

“Today's training is over. You move to the next phase when you are able to make the tree bend”

And with that, Ellinor was out of sight! Keith watched him, completely puzzled..

What is going on with him? Why does he always act like something was wrong with him up there?

Keith returned to his meal in silence, reminding himself to go back to the tree figure once he's done eating..

“Are you Keith?”

Keith turned to see a man about his age, staring at him with rather very eager eyes.. Keith swallowed his soup, staring at him in silence.

“Yes? What is wrong?” Keith asked

“Unbelievable”

The man hurriedly settled beside him making Keith move unsteadily on his seat..

Who is this man with the rough and tangled hair and wide green eyes , doing here? From his uniform, he does look like he was here to be trained too…

Keith wondered why the Master had all this men in his household, training for what exactly?

From all he knew, there's a school for swordsmanship and after training, the men have a safe spot in the royal army.

Isn't that what this men want? Or are they training for something else?

“Amazing! I heard about what happened today at the store room! The men said you got rid of the higher ups with one swing of your hands!”

Keith arched his brow, trying to remember what part of the incident included that, none!

“That's not how it happened though..” Keith said , still deep in thought.

“They said the higher ups challenged you and you stood your ground and told them to eat a cow's dung and then boom! They were all in the wall with broken bones!”

Keith tilts his head, not quite sure that was how the entire incident played out…

“And then your trainer came and told Paula to rot in the walls! So amazing!”

“That wasn't how it happened,” Keith said , still confused.

Whoever had narrated the whole situation to him is such a good story teller if he'd be honest!

“There's no need to be so modest my friend! You are a hero! No one from the junior rank has ever faced the higher ups in a fight! “

Keith wasn't sure ye felt like a hero. If there was one thing he wanted more than life, it would be for him to never cross paths with Paula again or he would make Keith pay with his life!

“ The higher ups have terrorised us many years and you were able to stand up to them!”

“Many years?! How long have you been here?” Keith asked, genuinely surprised l.

“Four years my friend and still a junior. It takes a great level of dedication to become one of the higher ups'' The man said with such passion.

Keith was lost, how could he want to be a part of something like the higher ups?! Even though he is delighted to hear they were beaten up?

Is this man confused or what?!

“My name is Sean. I've been training all my life to become a swordsman. What about you?”

“Keith. I'm here on a different mission”

Sean shrugs, even though he barely understood what Keith had said about himself.

“You're lucky to be trained by Ellinor. I heard he is so harsh that his students end up rinning away!”
