CHAPTER 30

There is a distinct disparity in their behaviors, mannerisms, and even their aura. Jax has always been known for his carefree and caring nature, while Lorde carries himself with an air of seriousness and discipline. The way he speaks, and the way he interacts with others, it is as if we are dealing with a completely different person. We cannot ignore this stark contrast that makes us question whether he truly is Jax or someone else entirely.

"Someone else? Don't be foolish, Alhyssa!" Her mother snaps her back.

Alhyssa's heart sinks as she realizes her mother will not believe her.

Slowly, I gather my thoughts and muster the courage to speak up against the president. "President, please listen to me. It was not Alhyssa's fault. And…Jax had never betrayed us. There must be something more to all of this."

President Maria's eyes narrow, filled with suspicion and anger. "You expect me to believe your delusions? Enough of your lies, Venice!"
